regression therapy

I remember when I was a young boy, talking to my mother. I described to her in detail a memory of mine. It was a very clear, visual memory of an event. She told me that I was not even alive when that event happened, but that I was probably told about it a few times when I was much younger. I found that hard to believe since my memory seemed so real.

False memories are still memories, and that is the problem with them there is not way to determine if they are real or not. And that is exactly how many false memories are created.

I remember reading an article in scientific american where they repeatedly related a false story to a number of people, and after a few times many of them remembered it.
