Eh. With support only for one rather narrow dialect of regular expressions its use is limited. The cases where you need a tool like this is usually the cases where differences between dialects matters.

Having given lots of introductory Unix courses, which included regex material, I think there's a good market for people who need to learn the basics and get a feel for it.
I agree with you that it would be nice to have a regex testing tool that covers all dialects. They say they use the ActionScript 3 regexes. Did they also adopt the Perl regexes? They look quite familiar, and other languages (Java, Python) have adopted the Perl stuff, which I think was a smart move
