Recruits for TAM5

Hmm... anyway, I've been meaning to ask: Aside from airfares and such, approximately how much should I expect to put away for this thing? I'm not talking about cost of booze and suchlike diversions but the normal cost of hotel room and directly associated expenses.

Hotel for six nights (Wed-Tue) ran me $453.60. Food probably was only $25-$35 day when TAM wasn't in session, about $15-20 for dinner on Fri-Sat. Of course, being Vegas, you can eat as Expensively ($45 tabs in the better restaurants) or Cheaply (McDonalds and the famous 0.99-cent 1/4 lb. hot dog were a 5 minute walk away) as your budget allows.

I would have thought that the pillowfight pictures from TAM 3 would have been enough to get your hubby to go.

Thank you for the numbers Hutch, and it's awesome to see what a great job you did again this year making everyone at home and helping with rides. It's heartening to know what a great group fellow skeptics are, and it makes me miss not being there all the more.

Hmmm, not many folks here to recruit, but I will be going after Forum Members to attend (I helped convince Roadtoad and Randfan to come this year).

Luke T., Cleon and jmercer were my notable failures this year, but I plan to redouble my efforts to get them to TAM5 one way or another. Also need to get Truthseeker and Library Lady out to TAM.

Need to start bugging them early and often....
