So just out of curiosity, I took a little look around the Rapture Ready site. I came across a thread about atheists/humanists, so I had to take a look. A couple people mentioned witnessing an atheist and how it didn't work. Anyone know what that means?

I stopped browsing on rr after I started reading a thread in the Women's Corner from a woman wondering how wild she could get in the bedroom without Satan entering the room...

Basically, most of the women lamented their horrible youth where they apparently slept around a tad more then they considered "respectable". Lots of knashing of teeth and wailing about how they wished they had gone to their marriage beds as virgins.

After that, it's apparently the general consensus that anything done between two consenting, married, opposite sex adults is quite all right...

Did they say "witnessing to an atheist"? That just means preaching at someone in an attempt to get them to convert.

Well, when I was a kid, I was told the Bible says the marriage bed is sacred, so whatever goes on there is fine, as long as it's between the two married people, only. No third or more parties allowed.

YMMV.
 
Okay, having probed the site a little further (it's so hard when none of them talk directly about sex, even when they claim to be talking about sex!) and following a link to a site that explicitly states what is and is not acceptable sex (Finally! A site that actually discusses genitalia without sounding like an embarrassed preteen!), it appears that my original impression was false. Apparently anal sex is okay because nothing in the Bible expressly forbids it.

Sorry for the fixation, but... I'd heard that there were anti-sodomy laws that applied to all sexual relationships but were only really enforced against gay men, and I wanted to know whether they were a reflection of a religious stance on anal sex or just homosexuality.
