I really need to name this genus of Troll - the ones who don't care what they say or how stupid it is so long as they get a little attention in their empty lives.

Remember the main characteristics:
Ignorant about science
Not worried about looking staggeringly stupid
Get almost childishly overexcited when people respond scathingly to them (slight masochistic tendency)
Don't even attempt to build internal logic into their claims
If not responded to will make more and more outrageous and stupid posts

Let's not forget about that Shapeshifting Alien Bigfoot guy.. Erik Beckjord was it? It's incredible how SIMILAR these people sound. I'm not even implying that they are the same person, it just sounds like a common disorder that they all have.

I'd feel much, much safer knowing that they were all just trolls out to get a rise from everyone. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is the case.

As far as a classification, science has already taken care of this:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Troldata
Class: Irrationalia
Order: Ignoramus

Mainstream scientists usually explain it with natural selection/mutation, but I doubt someone of your intellect would agree with that.

Would you mind spelling out which of the contest rules you consider to be BS? Perhaps it is a result of misunderstanding.

This one caught my eye... in truth it would be much simpler to demonstrate an "easy" ability in that the test need not be particularly complicated. To test astral projection one would need to decide what constitutes a demonstration of astral projection, such as remote viewing.

You have commented that there are undetectable means by which these powers work--but you should understand that what is being tested is not the functioning, but the result, of the power. If you say, for example, you're using something you call "zark rays" to move an object, it doesn't matter if the zark rays can be detected, but instead it matters whether the object moves, and if non-paranormal means of moving it were blocked.

See, I knew I had heard "ORMUS" somewhere before. Then it finally came to me.

In the near-final dungeon of Xenosaga Ep. II, there's theses annoying sons of (w)itches that shout "ORMUS!" as they buff themselves or bust out an attack. It's very annoying and as I recall this, I can clearly hear the "ORMUS" in my mind. It made killing them that much more satisfying.

They were pretty evil, ineffective*, and annoying.

I imagine that the ORMUS we're talking about is one of those three...

I see where you're coming from, and Jacob probably does live alone (or with one or more parents) - but I offer "trolliform" - that is having the appearance of a troll but without the calculated provoking of responses associated with the usual internet troll. Someone like Jacob could be said to have "trollifom disorder" - hey, it's a new psychiatric disorder for the 21st century!
