Raging Anti-Semitism Still Acceptable To Social Justice Wariors

It's funny to me that an incident at a tiny college in the middle of nowhere is considered to be emblematic of the entirety of "Social Justice Warriors."

From what I can tell, SJWs are more widespread than I previously thought. There's a LOT of isolated incidents (not necessarily exactly like this one).

When you've got a bugbear everything looks like it's doing.

An alternate possibility is that you've just increased the scope of what you consider to be an "SJW."

Kinda like how back in the day, "communist" meant an adherent of Marxism-Leninism, and at some point it evolved to mean "anyone to the Left of Ayn Rand."

Imagine if it was a Jewish prof spouting black conspiracy theories, he'd be gone in a heartbeat.

I've always said that anti-Semitism is the one "ism" not only tolerated but embraced by the SJW left, this is yet more evidence of that.

Or imagine if you had a Jewish professor who criticized the Jewish state. What if he also discovered a famous Jewish law professor had plagiarized?

An interesting conjecture, and it sure makes for a nice additional post, but would you care to do more than just throw it out there?

I take a SJW to be a collectivist (almost in a marxist way) who believes in social justice ideas (what an oxymoron!) and often engages in aggressive conversations about it (hence the warrior bit). Affirmative action comes to mind.

I find it remarkable how there seems to be quite a few on the left side of the political fence round here who seem unwilling or unable to acknowledge the cancer that has infected a good portion of the left. An infection which will surely not result in good things (as evidence has already demonstrated).

And I say that as someone who is most assuredly not a conservative.

In short, wake up, and take a good, close look at what's going on in the left. You should be concerned.

So now you are all for professors being fired for what they post to facebook? Clearly we need less academic freedom.

If a white teacher posted anti-black memes or comments on FB, they would be booted in a second.

There is an extreme double standard when it comes to bigotry from the mouths of black people and other minorities.

THIS. This whole idea that Evil exists only on the right is very troubling to me.

Maybe if people stopped trying to tie "evil" to their least favourite political flavour and realised that they are entirely unrelated and that all types of "people" commit evil, then maybe progress in eliminating "evil" can happen.

Would you agree that "evil" is harm caused deliberately? It's no surprise people ascribe it to the people they dislike. In the end, we're all evil to a degree. Some of us more than others.

Well, yeah, but it's far easier to just apply ambiguously defined labels so that one can safely dismiss problems without much thought.

Ok, if that is the case show your work. Show the accademics sharing the kind of racist memes that seem to always fill up police emails when they are checked on social media and getting fired instantly.

Academia really doesn't work that way.

Or maybe they're just calling one form of evil "evil" because they've found it to be so. One doesn't preclude the other, nor does it preclude seeing other evils.

I still don't see how attacks on the government snd politicians in Israel is anti-semitic.

Yes there are relative evils. Poor people might think rich people are evil and no doubt some are - but having sweeping opinions isn't really all that helpful - there are many evil poor people too.

The degree of evil involved in the agenda and methods used to bring the agenda into reality...here is a short video on one such evil.

Perhaps the real evil is ignorance...purposeful ignorance...

Spending enough time in the Conspiracy Theories subforum shows enough that there is stupidity and hatred everywhere. Sure, we, as a people, all love to put all the blame on people we don't like (just look at the OP) but at some point we just have to ignore it all.
