R.I.P Frank Frazetta, 1928-2010

I don't know what that means. Frazetta didn't use an airbrush, and that tool would not approximate his style by a longshot.

One of my favorite Frazetta paintings is called "Spiderman". I used to have a copy of it hanging on my bedroom wall as a kid. It has nothing to do with the superhero of the same name, but once you've seen the painting, you aren't likely to forget it, particularly if you suffer from arachnophobia

They were showing a nice documentary on Frank on the Independent Film Channel a while back. Always one of my favorite fantasy artists.

I saw it, too. I never really was a fan of his, but after seeing the documentary, I gained a great appreciation for his work. It's definitely worth a look or three.
