My sensei was a victim of this zeal. He owns three stores, one of which sells "vintage" products, and it's advertised as such. There's also a "Authentique: Not made in China" slogan. They sent him warnings for that.... without even realizing that the word "vintage", despite its English origins, is actually in the French Larousse.And heaven help you if you own an Italian restaurant and want to put words like "pasta" and "calamari" on the menu.
