This is an interesting article about the guy many people think is Q. He shares my suspicion that QAnon is a disinformation campaign run or at least guided by foreign actors. (I think Russia.)

Since 2018, many members of the cult-like group have been convinced that its shadowy leader and founder is actually Ezra Cohen-Watnick, an intelligence specialist who worked in various Defense Department jobs before accepting a senior post on the National Security Council staff soon after President Donald Trump came into office in 2017. Cohen, who was brought in under former national security adviser Michael Flynn, became a figure of controversy when his run-ins with other intelligence officials spilled out into the press.

Cohen, who specializes in countering influence of foreign adversaries like Russia and China, says the persistence and sophistication of some of those involved in QAnon have convinced him of a foreign presence in the movement.

“In my professional opinion, being in the intelligence world, it really appeared to be a foreign state actor or a very organized operation,” he said. “I just don’t see that level of sophistication as just an amateur thing.”

But how many really believe that celebrities have cannibal child sex orgies, when they don't actually do anything about them? I mean at least the Pizzagate guy tried to save some kids.

Q very much has a "trust the plan" element. Waiting for some outside force to ride in on a white horse to slay the monsters was the expectation.

If these people start believing that Q failed in this, they may believe it is necessary to personally take direct, violent action.

Doubt it. They are followers, not leaders.

I really admire the 4/8channers that pulled this off though. I mean, when you take it to Satanic pedophile cannibals and your audience doesn't realize that you are just being ridiculous... That's just art.

A silly and obvious 4chan troll metastasized into an insipid, vicious mass delusion. The ultimate failure of the infantile ‘Q’ fantasy has finally arrived, but not before it destroyed families, friendships, and lives, killed people, and damaged American democracy.

Of course, anonymous cowards who pushed this on the Internet will simply walk away, whistling, as they move on to lapping up and regurgitating the next mass of steaming waste.
 
It’s highly amusing to watch my friends and family begin to grapple with the fact that “the storm” never came. At the same time, it’s also very sad.

Like my wife’s aunt. She blocked me from Facebook because I kept questioning her crazy spoutings regurgitating QBS. At the same time, her husband of 40 years was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and he is rapidly getting worse. She has it in her head that she has the truth and somehow the deep state is punishing her. Before Trump, we got on great with them and it’s sad to see both her descent into crackpottery and his into actual dementia. But it’s also kind of funny to hear her rationalizations and continued insistence that “it’s not over,” and to “trust the plan!” Just this morning, my wife showed me her post about how Biden would not be inaugurated, this was just a way to get Obama, Clinton, Biden, et al in the same place so the National Guard can unseal the indictments and arrest them all.

So your "deep state" stuff must extend over here, 'cos I've spent an hour or so listening to the inauguration and analysis of it on the BBC.

Does this mean it was really Trump in a Biden mask and Pence in a Harris mask? And the soundtrack was re-dubbed to change the names I heard? Or that it wasn't Lady Gaga singing but really Kid Rock?

A part that was going to rise up with DJT in the lead and bring to justice/execute all sorts of evil pedophiles and Democrats. The Deep State at war with the Deep State. There's a difference between comic books and real life.
