The cops didn't say anything about Guardado out front talking to two girls when they rolled up. That was his boss who said that was what he was doing.

You added the element of showing them a gun in order to correlate with the cops' story under the heading of "I wonder." I wonder what you'll be wondering tomorrow...
 
The autopsy release delay might be so that an arrest(s) can be made first or maybe simultaneously. Or they need to investigate something based on what's in the autopsy and decided that they need to do that before releasing the autopsy. Though the reporting with quotes suggests that it's about what's in the autopsy and not something related.

I confess that I sometimes forget that reading comprehension isn't everybody's strong point. I was just trying to think of a scenario where maybe what Guardado was doing wasn't totally insane. But I was obviously mistaken to give the guy any credit at all. Clearly he was just standing there on a busy street with a highly illegal handgun in hand casually chatting with two girls he had no interest in at all because, when has an 18 year old male ever tried to get laid?

Wonder no more. I wonder if there were really two girls in front of the shop like the owner said there were. I wonder if he is smart enough to know how security cameras work and that the cops have no reason to break them after an incident has already been captured on video? I wonder if the cameras were actually broken or if that's how they look when a camera is removed?

Cops with legitimate business don't have to tie the current incident to a crime in the vicinity 2 weeks ago. It remains to be seen whether police will be able to fashion a good justification for their actions.

I am very suspicious of this whole thing. Something doesn't ring true about what the Police are saying here. A man, with his back turned, allegedly "going for his gun" is shot in the back FIVE times by ONE officer.

It is theoretically possible the guy pulled the gun and then immediately turned to avoid the shots. Possible - but not probable.

Sounds like another case of scared cop with horrible training shooting when he shouldn't.
Like I have said before - the mindset of fear that is trained into cops thanks to the widespread adoption of the "hero doing a dangerous job" mythology has resulted in many unnecessary deaths.
