PS Audio Noise Harvester

Chefs in restaurants, they are sissy girls because they use too little ingredients. A true chef uses every ingredient that is available.

It is like with music, the more sounds are playing at the same time the more complex it sounds like, and the better the system needs to be to hear each sound distinct.
When you make food you do that same thing, you put as many flavors into the meal as you can, and you need a good system to eat it so you can taste each ingredient separately.

Now there are two things you clearly know nothing about. Food and music. Complexity in music is not determined simply by how many instruments are playing.

Generally audiophiles, amongst all their silliness, are correct and consistent about one thing; to determine the quality of a playback system only acoustic music will do. Electronic music can be 'coloured' and nobody but the original artist would know.

So here we have a guy who listens to electronic music MP3s on headphones and he expects to be taken seriously about sound quality.

I'm still shaking my head and now it hurts.

I don't listen to music, I just use the music to listen to my audio system. MP3 is good enough to hear my system and the differences with tweaks. Trance music has more layering and transient speed than other music.

With classical music they use crappy microphones which makes all the sounds blend together, you don't need a good system to hear that. All the sounds need to be mixed together afterwards to get proper layering quality.

Wow, how silly of me to assume that you might have an audio system to listen to music. I suppose I do use mine for movies. I don't listen to my system though it is transparent to me. I just hear whatever sound is being reproduced.

If you listen to Classical on a decent system you might be surprised. But I forgot that all classical sounds the same. Who can tell Bach from Varese after all? It might help if they ditched those Neumanns and Telefunkens for some nice mics from Radio Shack. Maybe it would sound better.

Too bad you can never enjoy a nice cello solo because who wants to hear a solo. No, I want to hear every instrument in the world playing at once while I snack on all dressed potato chips.

Crunch, crunch.

The problem (JJ please post here) is that when you take a lot of channels that are used in classical music and mix them down to only two channels you lose lots of information, it is not because of microphones they use like ES says. So what does he also do, he uses MP3's which throw out even more information.

:) :) :)

He is clueless...........

And, pray tell, what is your purpose in having an audio system.

MP3 is good enough to hear my system and the differences with tweaks.

With the kind of tweaks you are using, you are probably right, since any differences are mainly in your mind, so any music will do.

No.

With classical music they use crappy microphones which makes all the sounds blend together,

No.

Well, he cooks with all available ingredients, so I assume he permanently listens to white noise (all frequencies) and tweaks his >10K$ system to make the noise _really_white :)

Does he hope to get a white soul this way?

Except that in that case, the very best place to start would be on the speakers or head phones, as the case may be.

The part that actually moves the air is the worst as far as mangling your sound.

The difference from Harvesters is bigger than ever before now. After I re-arranged my setup (shorter cables) I get worse sound from Harvesters so I don't have them plugged in anymore. They make bass too heavy now.:(

Shorter Valhalla cables gives stronger bass! With longer Valhalla cables it sounded thin and lifeless, and I needed to use Harvesters to boost up the bass to get synergy.

People like to laugh at things they don't understand. For the skeptics ignorance is bliss... It makes them feel better about themselves because they can explain it. Instead of trying to learn proper physics they just take the simple path and explain it as placebo. It's the easy way out.

They laugh at everything that isn't written down in their classical physics book. It is not hard to see who lacks common sense and proper logic.

I just have one question regarding your pizza. What on earth was the stuff in that pan?

But my little young friend, I more then understand, it is you that will not read real electronic books, but will only listens to people who what to sell you BS and take you money. You believe in things that are never used by those in the know, things that are never used in the true state of the art equipment. You listen to audiophiles who tell you that there are things that the human ear can hear that can’t be measured by electronic instruments. That is just out and out BS. Instruments can go far beyond the human ear. You my friend are the one that is the closed minded, you only look inward, and only use yourself as the standard. Only a fool runs against himself to prove how fast he is.
