Proving the Aurora Theater Shooting's official story false

Interesting you'd be upset with a forum like JREF when it's websites like "willyloman" and GLP that egg on people like Michael who have some level of mental instability by telling them they're delusions aren't manifestations of their illness but in fact reality.

Or, as I said earlier in this thread, people like Alex Jones who tell them that psychotropic medicaments are "mind-control drugs" or "suicide mass murder pills". Coincidentally those tend to be the same ********* that tell people not to get their children vaccinated.

We are all people, we have families and people that care for us. Kissinger was a human being. Dick Cheney, Reagan, Obama, all are human beings with families.

Generally I am in whole-hearted agreement with this.

Except Cheney. I think the jury is still out on him. He might be one of those claims that requires extraordinary evidence.

;)

John Stewart referred to Cheney as "He Who Must Not be Named" recently

And I'm just glad I wasn't chewing or drinking anything at that exact moment!

Chicago Tribune had a good picture of him peeking around a column at the White House., like he was the little man behind the curtain. :D
The Onion had an even better one of him drinking water while his other hand was behind Bush. The caption read "Cheney stuns audience by drinking water while Bush speaks" :D.

But yes, even he is still human.

Ya i mean one of the turning points in my political thought as I aged was coming to the realization that people like Cheney are nowhere near so evil as the outcomes of the policies they advocate for.

Doesn't mean we still can't have a little fun - but this was important part of skeptical armour inuring me to many conspiracy theories. They impute real, conscious mendacity and evil into elites - when most of the time they have just internalized a series of rationalizations that justify their wealth and the wealth of their friends, the policies they advocated for. They build walls around the worst outcomes of their policies and disconnect themselves from failures - telling themselves this is only the cat calling of their enemies or an unlucky turn of history, abstract and little to do with their decisions... Errol Morris makes great documentaries about just this side of powerful men in charge of horrible failures.

Disconnected as they are by these ideological and psychological blindfolds - is it any wonder they stumble so badly and cause so much pain? The biggest wonder perhaps is the amazing ability of the human mind to craft comforting narratives, even in the face of abject failure and reality stymieing their dreams.

In normal people and the downtrodden this can be a saving grace. In our elites it is a menace.
