Protests in Wisconsin - Scott Walker

That ought to help swell the rally on the Square this weekend... 100,000 plus perhaps. Lots of farmers on tractors.

Did someone spike the water with LSD up there? Those guys sound delusional.

Next week, farmers from across the dairyland will bring tractors and solidarity to the WI capitol to fight for labor rights and a just state budget. Rural communities will be disproportionately hurt by the cuts to education and BadgerCare, as well as Gov. Walker’s decision to eliminate funding for other sustainable agriculture initiatives such as the Buy Local Buy Wisconsin program.

Farmers on acid driving their tractors up John Nolen Drive as opposed to the usual cars and bicyclists would be quite a sight.

What? No one has posted the latest news here? The Repubs in WI simply took the union gutting legislation out of the "budget bill" and made a separate bill that doesn't require a quorum.

And there is a completely false TV commercial being aired lying about the amount the union workers are actually paid compared to non-union workers and lying about the fact the mandatory union dues do not include the political portion of union spending. Now who do you suppose is funding that ad?

Need anyone ask that question?

Correction/update:

The offensive ad with the made up numbers about WI workers' salaries being 42% greater than in the private sector was produced by Karl Rove's PAC, the front group, Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies.

This pet project of Roves, along with a couple other groups funded by a handful of the richest people in the country outspent Democrats in 2010 election year 10 to 1.

Are you referring to the state Democrats' filibuster? Or some other issue?

Want to know the difference? When the Repubs filibustered in the federal government, they represented the minority wishes of the country on most issues they filibustered on. And here, despite who won which election, the people in WI in poll after poll are with the Democratic filibusterers here, not with Walker and the Repubs.

True. And the sneakiness too.

Reminds me of how the Dems passed Obamacare.
Really, how was that? Pelosi using the legal, Deem and Pass rule to prevent the planned stalling tactic by the Repubs who intended to propose so many amendments as to make the process stall?

so...we throw out election results and just take Statewide and Nationwide polls on all legislation?

Or perhaps we only do that when Libs are upset with legislation??

A poll of 800 WI people should be taken to reflect the desires of all...and not the millions WI voters who actually voted in the last elections???

What crap. Walker was a bait and switch and the public is calling hin on his deception.

When he is recalled, will you keep with your 'elections count' position or prove yourself a total hypocrite like the rest of the Repubs?

How dare the WI GOP legislators not drive to the undisclosed locations of the Democrats who fled the State, and their democratic responsibilities, and tell them about this action first!!
