I've just listened to this rubbish:

The "poltergeist" seemed to be very accurate and fast with its code transmissions (one tap for 'A', two taps for 'B', and so on), I'm quite sure that I couldn't transmit messages at that speed. I wonder why they use such an inefficient method of communication; if I come back as a poltergeist I'll use Morse code (I'm a radio amateur).
At the end of the interview Dr Colvin started waffling about "energy", saying that he was visiting the University of Glasgow to see what they had to say about such energy sources. I Googled him and came up with lots of hits, including this one:

He claims that the sounds emanate from within structural material! If that is the case, they must be using an unknown form of energy. He'll probably end up with a theory based on quantum mechanics, they are very popular.

He's a polyurethane technologist, which doesn't seem to qualify him for conducting detailed studies of acoustic phenomena, or the paranormal.
