Prime Ministerial Debates- Thread

I just don't know how Clegg's "No bonuses" policy would work.

Banking is so international that directors will simply go abroad.

It's an integral part of the business.

Maybe quick vote winner but really hard to implement.

The Lib Dems bonus for banks policy is a bit strange to me, surely the bonuses would just be paid via shares or even worse trade elsewhere?

Not "No bonuses" no cash bonuses. Stock options and the like still allowed.

Zee idea is that shares and stock options give you an insentive to keep the bank intact long term.

Clegg : "labour and conservative care more about the 1 square mile of the city when they should care about the 100,000 square miles of the uk and...er...ummmm....er...ummmmm ahem"

Brown : "..... Obama......"

Oooh cameron brings in the euro. Clegg has a working defence mind

Does it sicken anyone else hearing a Tory bleat on about the problems within the financial sector, when they basically built our whole economy on that sector. Also you know they would have done nowt to change anything.

Is that correct, the tories are going to give a tax cut to banks? If Clegg and Brown can exploit this bias to the rich more it could be interesting.

Oh, this should be good.

The Euro, I think I should add, it currently at €1.15 per £1, which has fallen from a recent high of €1.01 per £1.

It's hardly failing Mr Cameron.

No euro from the Lib Dems either?

I'm surprised (but I'm not sure why - I guess I thought they were more pro Euro)

Getting away with it is good too...hollywood makes films about it...sometimes starring phil collins

They want a coperation tax cut across the board. It's being paid for by removal of tax breaks for manufactoring.
