President Trump

Putting aside the fact that it was a joke, the statement does not solicit a hack.

Yeah, just like his "second amendment people" comment was a joke. Just like his pussy-grabbing comment was a joke. Everything he says that is uncomfortable is a joke. Everything else is telling it like it is.

Putting aside the fact that it was a joke, the statement does not solicit a hack. It simply asks that the Russians release the email that they've already hacked. Which would be good for the US actually. Not knowing what Russia had is far worse.
Ha and I would be interested in seeing your reaction if Obama or Hillary had made such a "joke". Your cognitive dissonance is amazing. Anything stupid Donald Trump says is a joke or locker room talk, and of course, whatever blatant lies he comes up with, Hillary would obcviously have been more blatant, and Obama is a Communist Muslim pansy for appeasing China and restablishing ties with Cuba. But Trump is a man of vision and is awesome at diplomacy because he is buddy buddy with Russia. Who didn't try to help him win. :eyeroll

Don't know about #2, but as to #1:

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference here in an apparent reference to Mrs. Clinton’s deleted emails. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

That statement was way out-of-line, but I think it's hard to prove it was treasonous. It's one of Trump's statements that I can actually concede is plausibly a joke. After all, the emails were already deleted.

I think one needs more of a slam-dunk case to allege treason here.

As far as suspicious activity, there was the (alleged) discovery of a Trump server in concealed communication with a Moscow bank. Sure would like to know what was going on there. (The allegation appeared to be plausible to experts who looked at the evidence.)

17 different US intelligence agencies have reported this.
They have the evidence. Take it up with them.

No, they have not claimed that Trump had anything to do with Russian activity. There is not clear evidence of that, far as we know.

Evidence points toward the highlighted being nothing more than wishful thinking on the part of a sore winner at this point.

He told them to do it. Right in front of our faces he told them to do it, and they did. Treason.

The newest way to show your patriotism - treason.

Well done.

They did not do what he requested, which had to do with the 33k deleted emails.

That one was plausibly a joke, but even more out of line. Way the hell out of line.

Trump's speeches are always ambiguous in this way. He's quite good at saying things that are so outrageous that he can claim they are jokes. This doesn't excuse the fact that he shouldn't say these things, but it makes, for instance, charging him with treason or encouraging an assassination very difficult.

If that's the case, he's always joking and there's no way to know what monster hides behind the clown makeup.

Why postpone? He's made the answer clear.

President-elect Donald Trump is postponing until next month a previously announced news conference to outline how he’ll handle his far-flung business operations while in the White House, according to senior Trump transition officials.

Trump had planned to make the announcement Dec. 15 but wants more time because he’s been occupied with filling out his cabinet and top administration posts, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. He’s preparing to reveal his choice for secretary of state as soon as Tuesday, they said.

The president-elect has consulted various legal specialists as well as Don McGahn, his pick for White House counsel, about how to deal with his organization, the officials said. A new date for the announcement hasn’t been set, but it will be before his inauguration on Jan. 20, they said.

What do we bet there is no News Conference?
Whrn was the last time he had one?
What happened to the one his wife was going to give?

His last press conference was 139 days ago when he encouraged Russia to hack Clinton's emails.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell broke with President-elect Donald Trump over Russia on Monday, saying he supports a congressional investigation into findings that Russian hackers attempted to influence the election.

McConnell praised the American intelligence community, saying he has "the highest confidence in the intelligence community, and especially the Central Intelligence Agency" -- which Trump had recently lambasted over its findings.

How on Earth would we actually know if they had or hadn't?

ETA: We would know if Russia had released them. I can't remember exactly what Donald encouraged Russia to do. Find them, or release them?

At this point I'm pretty sure Melania can't stand him. I have no solid evidence, just the way she forces a smile once she knows she's on camera. Can't provide a clip right now, will try.

Pardon? His statement urges Russia to find them. Not to release what they've already found.

We still don't know what Russia has and there's a good chance we never will.

Pardon? The emails had already been deleted. With bleachbit. The only way the Russians could find them is if they had already been hacked.

Who cares?

He looked right into the camera and told russia to take an active part in the US electoral process.

Not even YOU can deny that. Oh, you'll say it's a joke. But I don't recall him laughing after saying it. So you're wrong, as amazing as it seems.

When he saw Trump say it at a rally, he probably cheered "hell yes!."
Trumpers only claim such nonsense are jokes after being pointed out how embarrassing or wrong it is.
