President Trump

And your qualifications for making this pronouncement are? In other words, how are you more qualified than actual climate scientists (now, don't lie about how many of them agree that AGW is real)?
Apparently this is why Clinton lost. See, the ignorance of someone like logger should be treated with just as much deference as the expertise of actual climate scientists, and the failure of "leftists" to do so caused fewer people to vote for Trump than did for McCain or Romney. Or something, I'm still fuzzy on the details.

I don't think they blame it on Obama. The story they tell themselves with that one is Democrats overheated the housing market so minorities could be homeowners.

After Obama took office is when the so-called "Tea Party" movement heated up, and complained we were being "over-taxed" (even though effective tax rates were at relatively low levels). Also, despite complaining about being taxed too much, they attributed the sharp uptick in the deficit to Obama. They're idiots.

My Republican coworkers certainly blame Obama.

Eta: of course they also think Obama invented the Executive Order, and one is convinced Romney won the popular vote, so they aren't very politically astute.

You really think so? I think they lie down for him unless his national approval numbers drop through the floor, which I feel is unlikely.
It's Trump's potential influence on primaries that they'll be concerned about, so it's the approval of registered Republicans that signifies. That could be chipped away, at which point the very unkind things Trump has said about quite a number of Republicans will come into play.

"I think people have had enough of experts." (Gove, senior Leave campaigner in the UK).

Yup, it's a problem.

Soon they'll be blaming everything on the state Obama left the country in ... :covereyes

I still see that more people voted for Clinton than Trump, and fewer people voted for Trump than voted for McCain or Romney. This was a case of Democrats not showing up, and not a case of huge numbers of people switching to Trump or voting against the experts.

So one day Trump does something reasonable, like reconsider scrapping ACA, the next he does something absurd, like the first British politician he meets as President Elect is Nigel Farage.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

— Isaac Asimov, "A Cult of Ignorance", Newsweek, 21 January 1980 (PDF)

Since I can't seem to stop making predictions I'll throw another one in here.

Trump will survive just fine doing Russia's bidding, banning Muslims, building a wall, ogling naked teenagers, grabbing pudenda, using the office to enrich himself, choking the planet, breaking promises and keeping his tax return secret forever.

If he self-destructs it will be over something tiny or at least trivial. Equal in importance to, say, Howard Dean's scream. Some small error in etiquette or chance remark will undo him. Trying to kiss Queen Elizabeth's hand, saying he doesn't follow football, forgetting the name of Canada's capital (if he ever knew it).

I'm probably wrong but oh well. He'll be in a crucible of scrutiny, his every move shadowed. If he wants to do something normal for him like cheat on his wife he'll have to take the Secret Service along. He will never again be allowed to drive on a public road, though I don't know if he cares about that. He's going to be a lot less free than he's ever been and I think it will take a toll. I take comfort in knowing he's probably out of his comfort zone. His life as he knew it is over.

Oidiot has been president for the last eight years, but the libs probably will go from blaming Bush straight to Trump.

It makes their defeat all the more sweeter. ;)

I just know how dishonest the left is, its intelligence guided by experience. If leftist weren't so corrupt and could maybe win an election, things might be different. Either way your AGW will suffer a fiery end. ;)

Yeah, all those dishonest scientists with their fancy book learning and data! We don't need that when we can bring a snow-ball to congress! What'll they think of next? Trying to say that "big-pharma" is better than homeopathy and chiropractic? Pshaw, those dishonest leftist scientists.

Republicans remember the last recession, they just blame it on Obama. Never mind that it began before he was elected, much less sworn in to office, it started close to when he started, so it's his fault!

Since you two don't have a clue, I'll explain it. Obama has done very little to turn this economy around, in fact, he's hurt the recovery because like most leftists, he's anti growth. Its another reason he lost the dems in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
