President Trump

Yea, it was so close it triggered an automatic recount, with no prompting from gore.

Which he lost. Then he demanded a manual recount, but only in those counties with strong Democratic majorities. The whole thing was nonsense.

oops yeah, sorry, I know most people would rather see rick astley appear when they click blindly on a yt link

but this is alex jones desperately trying to get trump not to 'betray' the infowars nutters

For good reason.

Of course. He wanted to be President. And when his margin of defeat is a few hundred votes, and the margin of error on a full recount is a few hundred votes, then a recount has a chance of showing him ahead. So the strategy of asking for recounts until he gets one in his favor, and then stop counting, is a good one. Of course, nobody with any understanding of statistics and measurement error should fall for that.

And now your little bitch Trump thinks Clinton got millions of illegal votes, and he actually won the popular vote.

You support a child, sunmaster.
A child.
Be proud!

Goodbye to Barack Obama’s world

Whatever precise form Mr Trump’s administration takes, we know this: Mr Obama’s legacy will be purged. In many cases all it will take is the stroke of Mr Trump’s pen.

The Obama erasure will go far deeper than undoing domestic laws, or foreign deals. Mr Trump will repeal Obamacare, or alter it beyond recognition. He will “keep an open mind” about whether to pull the US out of the Paris agreement on climate change and quite probably blow up the US-Iran nuclear deal. These acts would undo Mr Obama’s most visible achievements. Less obvious ones, such as the ban on Arctic drilling and enhanced interrogation techniques and the intention of closing Guantánamo Bay (never completed) will also be consigned to the dustbin. It will be as if Mr Obama was never here.

January 20, 2017 can't arrive fast enough.

Countdown to Inauguration: 53 days, 14 hours, 16 minutes

I wonder what his source is for that, but suspect that it's "his ass".

It's just a continuation of the campaign strategy. Repeat the lies over and over until they permeate public consciousness. It's exactly how he layered all of his opponents throughout the primaries and general election with coats of his designer propaganda paint.

Yet a recount would be a "tremendous waste of time and resources."

So would renovating and making the Trump tower appropriately secure for a President's family to live in along with Secret Service people. Republicans don't really care about wasting money.

Yeah someone pointed that out the thread on this:

You're ignoring the Kris Kobach and Jeff Sessions in the room. This is laying groundwork to attack minority, specifically African American, voting rights. They need to stop this "fraud" that left him with the legal right to govern but not the democratic consent of the majority.

Has Trump put his businesses in a blind trust yet? Legal experts are saying that not doing so would be unconstitutional, and would be cause for impeachment.

Is this what the GOP are planning? Immediate impeachment?

Any comment on this from Trumpistas on these boards? Is corruption like this one of the many things you only care about when it's a Democrat doing it?

I don't think the GOP will immediately impeach him. They will keep the fact that Trump is using the Presidency to benefit his businesses as leverage.

He says he has no problem being president and running his businesses. No conflict of interest as he will be President.
I suppose he thinks what's good for his business must be good for America.

My understanding is that Trump is under no obligation to put his business in a blind trust. Sure it's the usual thing to do (at least since LBJ) to either put your interests in a blind trust or, like Obama, to invest in mutual funds over which you as President have no direct influence. Then again it was usual to reveal your tax records and Trump simply refused to do that with absolutely no ill effects to his candidacy.

As regards impeachment, firstly there would need to be some desire to do it. As much as the GOP seem to squabble internally, when push comes to shove they toe the party line when it's important for them to do so (look at all those "Anti-Trump" GOP luminaries who fell into line once he had secured the nomination). Unless Trump did something so heinous that it threatened to ruin the reputation of the GOP (and with Teflon-Trump it's hard to imagine what that could possibly be) then there would be no appetite for impeachment from the GOP and no ability to impeach from the Democratic Party.

The most likely cause where there will be calls for impeachment IMO will be allegations that Trump is using the office of President to further his business interests. The trouble is that it's almost impossible to prove something like that unless he's caught funneling billions in government money - he's not that stupid IMO.

I would say that IMO there is approximately zero chance of impeachment of President Trump and because they're not vindictive crybabies, the Democratic Party will not be spending the next 4 or 8 years with the sole intent of getting him impeached.
