For quick reference, here is a list of the numbers of non-US casualties by country:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_September_11_attacks#Non-American_casualties
I did some work and translated these numbers into number of deaths per billion inhabitants:

The first 3 entries are small nations where the death of 1 or few nationals compares to a tiny population.
The next 3 entries are english speaking countries with traditionally friendly terms who have very little obstacles to work in the USA.
Then already comes Israel.
So contrary to popular antisemitic perception, Israel suffered a particularly high death toll. Countries comparable in size and business importance, such as Belgium or Switzerland (a traditional banking country!) suffered less.
There are some conspicuous absentees on the list:
- The biggest country that lost no nationals:
Pakistan. If Pakistan is comparable to India and Bangladesh, they should have lost 5 or 6 nationals.
- If
Egypt is comparable to Lebanon or Jordan, they should have lost 40
- Turkey
- Iran
- Saudi-Arabia
- Iraq
- Afghanistan
I wonder why Truthers never looked at the numbers of casualties and wondered if the perpetrators had anything to do with Pakistan, Egypt or Saudi-Arabia. Makes a lot more sense than Israel.
