Pre-TAM8 Activity Interest List

Of the shows, Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil interest me. Although BMG would be a "maybe".

I am going to start formulating some final plans, soon.

But, here is one more idea I would like to toss out: Would anyone be interested in visiting the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, that is featured in the TV show Pawn Stars? I think I'd like to jsut walk in there, for a few minutes, just for the heck of it. Not terribly interested in pawning anything. But, maybe we'll run into interesting things.

I would, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that you don't "just walk in". There's a line.

That would make sense, actually, given how well-known the show has become.

We'll have to figure out when the line is typically at its shortest length. If the place is truly open 24 hrs. a day, we would not have to worry about it closing on us, though I suppose it would lower our chances of meeting one of the key stars of the show.

Is the Star Trek Experience still open? I heard it shut down some time ago, but I went the year it opened and that was awesome!

My main problem is funds, I can't really afford any of the activities listed. I'm going to be sticking to dinners and bowling, I think.

Sadly, the Star Trek Experience is no more. :(

There was supposed to be a plan in place to re-open it at the Neonopolis, in the downtown area. But, so far, not much in the realm of progress has been made.

Seeing how I've finally made a descision regarding whether or not to replace my aging car (the descision was "yes") and the fact it'll cost me at least 2000 Euro's more than anticipated (doesn't it always?), I may have to limit my activities during TAM to just one of the ones listed (indoor sky-diving being the most budget-friendly of the lot). Or anything that's pretty much free.
