Postal worker records woman's racist rant

Maybe it was a debt letter informing her husband to pay up in 30 days or else, in which case signing for it would be proof of receipt.
.
She had signed for it, and wanted that card back!

Is there a reason why he didn't just drive off? I am not playing Monday morning quarterback, I was just wondering if there was anything in the rules that says he has to engage or tolerate being treated like that.

In most customer service jobs, there is indeed some form of rule that states, " If someone is being a jerk, you cannot just ignore them." Up until they get physical.

It has to do with the " the customer is always right" mentality, i actually almost lost my job on a few occasions while working for the teleservice industry for hanging up on people who had ceased to want to have their issue resolved, and felt the need to just vent at me and call me every name they could think of. Including one guy who thought , somehow i was black and started calling me the n-word like it was my last name.

I have honestly heard the phrase " it is your job to put up with people like me." from a customer, and had that sentiment enforced by my boss. My opinion is that this is B.S. there is a difference between helping a person who may be angry, and becoming someones verbal punching bag.

Durring most of the video, the woman is leaning on the vehicle, with her hands and arms through the window. It is easy to picture her being injured, and then suing if the lettercarrier attempted to drive away.

There were periods of her standing back with enough clearance to pull away. Of course that would have given her a window to jump at the moving vehicle and sue and like I said, I am not sitting back saying what he should have done, just wondering if he had to stay due to some procedure.

He couldn't drive away, he had to continue delivering the mail. His next stop would be the neighbor's mailbox 30 feet away or so.

I think it would've just gone for the signed card first, tbh.

I understand, now! By signing the card, she imbued it with her soul! Naturally she needed to get it back, and naturally she turned crazy and evil because she didn't have her soul! It all makes sense!
