Check out this crazy lady's racist rant and physical assault on a black postal worker.

She has since been placed under police protection.

The strange part is the postal worker losing his job. The woman, not so much, she seems like the town crazy. We had one in our town, often called women sluts and prostitutes. But he didn't slap people. She needs assessing!

The postal worker, IIRC, lost his job over the incident.

The USPS had this to say:

Reached for comment about the video, US Postal Service spokeswoman Maureen Marion said the USPS "was aware of its circulation." She said the man who shot the video was a temporary employee until fall 2009. His termination was "handled in accordance with our national collective bargaining agreement." Marion wouldn't comment on whether it had anything to do with the video.

Is there a reason why he didn't just drive off? I am not playing Monday morning quarterback, I was just wondering if there was anything in the rules that says he has to engage or tolerate being treated like that.

Interesting response.
Almost knee-jerk.
Looking at her history, she is a 6-pack or more short of a 6-pack.
The delivery person knew what her response would be and set this up might be a possible claim, but after she signed to accept the delivery, what mind she had slipped off the rails again.
That the cellphone was on and playing is something to consider.

Did the postal worker write the address on the letter and mail it himself?

As far as I can tell the postal worker did his job in delivering the letter, he should not have to put up with abuse if the woman then have second thoughts about signing for the letter.

The woman may well have had a history of being abusive, which may had led the postal worker to film it, otherwise it would of come down to "he said, she said" and judging from the last two posts she may of got away with it.

She teaches speech, public speaking and one-on-one communication skills. That's what I find funny about this.

I think she communicated her feelings quite well, I know exactly what her stance is.

Not sure about Kinnison, but Michael Richards gave her glowing reviews.

Maybe it was a debt letter informing her husband to pay up in 30 days or else, in which case signing for it would be proof of receipt.

Well, now they know for sure what happened to the letter. Didn't she say it was from Rotary? I can't imagine Rotarians are pleased with the publicity that one of their members has married such a crazy person.
