Post-TAM Tour?

Sorry, Kitten, looks like 1:30 is in the lead!

Remember: The most important reason I bring up inter-car communications is because parts of Kitten's special tour guidance might be done while we are driving.
Once we get to Red Rocks, we might not walk all the way to everywhere, on the tour. We might drive to different spots. And, you might want to hear what Kitten says during the driving portions.

And, even before we get there, she might have some introductory information to convey along the way.

And, she can even do inter-car Q&A on the way back, as an option.

Perhaps conference call on one phone per car on speaker? That would be the easiest option.

Don't give a damn, just shut up about it already|everyone else|

Could be. My phone can do that. Can anyone else's?

If we have at least one smartphone in each car, we could use Skype.

Mine probably could... I don't normally use it while driving anyway, so I've never explored such 'hands free' options.

So you're good with 32:8?

Okay, I see people are starting to get tired of the vote. I shall declare it official:

The Post-TAM9 Red Rocks Tour Now Leaves at 1:30 PM (pacific time), Sunday, July 17th.

Thanks to all of you who prevented us from missing out on Steve Novella! :)

(Sorry, Kitten, you know we love and respect you, but on this manner you have been out-voted.)

I'm all for using Skype to have Kitten give the tour to us while we're driving. Wish we could just rent a very large van or a bus instead though.

If we rent a bus, we would probably have to rent a driver, too. I don't know how much that would cost, but I imagine it would require everyone to pay something for this tour, to cover it.

If we can stuff our selves into one or two vehicles that anyone with a standard driver's license could drive, it would greatly reduce costs.

Y'all have a remarkable ability to complicate a nice drive through the desert...

Seriously, we (probably Kitten, actually) plan a few stops, then follow the lead car. If it stops, we stop. This is not difficult.

What if the lead car stops for a potty break? Does everyone have to go to the bathroom?

Exactly. We can just meet at the Visitor Center (I think it costs $5 each to get in) and then drive the course, stopping where there's a wide spot in the road to look around.

The whole drive is about 13 miles once we get there.

I think I'll pass on cramming myself into a minivan with a dozen people on a nice 118-degree day :)

Okay okay! Let's just drive then, get out, learn some stuff about geology, and then drive some more. That works for me too. :)
