Porn Spam

I could put up with the odd Viagra spam and the annoying Stock Market spam, but from about a week ago I'm suddenly being struck by about 20 hardcore porn spam a day.

There's no need to open them, the hardcore porn is in the subject line, all the words spelled with double and triple letters to beat the spam filters.
The email addresses are all different. If I added them to my blacklist it would be full very quickly.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Any ideas on how to control it (Without changing my email address!!)

Switch from blacklist to whitelist? Sorry, that's the only thing I can think of...

I used to get a lot of them too. The only reason I don't any more is because my ISP (Earthlink) has been very good lately at blocking spam. I don't get nearly as much spam of all sorts as I used to.

Ditto with Comcast. My Thunderbird spam filter used to be a very busy little boy; now I get maybe 2-3 spams a week. Maybe the solution to your problem is to have your (preumably French) ISP talk with Earthlink or
Comcast?

Yahoo does a fairly good job, too.

Do you have any spam blocker in place or are you relying solely on your email client?

filters cycle. you'll find certain types get through, then the auto-learning filters catch up with it and your clean for awhile, then someone figures another way around filters and your getting spam again.
