Sorry to burst your bubble but it is none of the above!
For example if some one invites you to church or offers to say a prayer for you they are just trying to be nice.
Sure chances are they may have alteria motives

Ahem. Ulterior. You're welcome. :D

Offering to say a prayer for me is one thing. I've had two people actually walk up to me, put hands on me, and start praying.

This is wrong. Do not do this to people. Unless you want to have your hand violently smacked away from my arm as I start spouting curses that would put little Regan (The Exorcist) to shame.

Hah! Your religious attacker got off lucky! The last relative stranger who "put hands on me" wound up slammed to the floor, about an inch from a dislocated shoulder.

I'm not a touchy-feely person... can you tell?

This is from the UK and not specific to xianity, My idea of forcing a religion, is implementing govt. policy change or legislation based on their world view,

Either we are a secular society with the ability to tolerate peoples religions as long as they fall within the existing social and legal system, or we aren't.

Oh and telling me that I am evil and wishing me to die or blaming me for all of the worlds ills, taking their sprogs out of the scout group they have been enjoying 'cause both of the leaders are atheists and parent has just been 'born again' doesn't exactly enamour me towards their benevolant invisible friend.

Having lived in Texas for three years, I know that even there, most Christians don't force their religion on others. And I agree that if you're offended by the points in Fnord's lists, you're over-reacting.But as others have pointed out, there are things some Christians do that pushes Christianity on other people.

The only one I react to is 'Asking what your religious beliefs are', as this assumes automatically that you have one in the first place, and is thus a bit like asking me what colour my dog is. But I don't have a problem with it, strictly speaking.

Native Hawai'ians will attest that Christian dress codes were certainly forced on them.

Why exactly is it bad for women to go topless?

It's bad (for society) because too many guys can't multitask. Think of how many car wrecks (and injuries) there would be from guys driving past a woman going topless.;)

Paying priests with my tax money.

Or supporting religion in any way using public funds, this includes wasting time for religious crapulence (e.g. prayers at public non religious events, religious public events / public religious meetings / rallies that require police, ambulance, or fire service support because of their size, public blessings of inanimate objects or projects, seeking support / favour with local faith reps to see if it is OK to do stuff)

I agree with most of the previous posters. The only event that I haven't seen in this thread is folks like Judge Roy Moore insisting that the Ten Commandments be displayed in their courtrooms.

I suspect I would have some more examples if DOC would ever answer my questions about what he and Dr. Kennedy believe should be done to "return the United States to being a Christian Nation."

Other.

Forcing their myths to be taught in public schools.

Creating laws to restrict peoples actions for no reason other than they don't conform to their religious teachings.

Using tax money to subsidize religious activities.

Unofficially penalizing people for not acknowledging their god in a public setting (courtroom, school, etc.).

Why weren't any of these on the poll?

Now you are forcing your aesthetics on people! :p

I am not forcing anyone not to go topless. I merely suggest a few reasons why some people should not go topless at all. Besides, there's a number of places where going around topless is technically legal (like say, Ontario), yet no one does it (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

How about enjoying tax free status for their enterprises while the rest of us subsidize them through our taxes to pay for the roads to get to church, the fire and police departments who protect them, mailing their recruitment materials for free, etc.

Maybe Fnord could start a new poll with all of these wonderful examples of Christians actually forcing their religion on us.

What, and ruin a perfectly good strawman???

What, and ruin a perfectly good strawman???
How is a poll a strawman?

If no one had responded anything but "None of the above" - other than just a few people who were joking - and Fnord had kept arguing against these unsupported opinions, I could see your point. But it actually seems like a few of these options have too many people voting for them to be called strawmen.

He listed a variety of complaints that people are not in fact making. His implied claim is that these are the types of things that we view as forcing religion on us.

However, if many people selected some of these, I could be mistaken. Perhaps some do claim these things constitute forcing religion. However, if it were a more honest poll it would include things like mandatory prayer and preventing gays from marrying.

Well I actually agree that no one should ever take their beliefs that far as to go up to stranger like that

Just to clarify lets say IF I offered to say a prayer for you I would not be trying to push my beliefs onto you it would only be an offer.

By the way I loved the exorcist I sometimes watch that over breakfast
