Politicizing hurricane Katrina

I think "slow/inept response" is probably the DU meme.

Note: After guessing that "slow/inept" was the democrat underground meme, I checked their site. I was right.

So tell me, is this your normal way you evaluate claims:

1. Corplinx hears a charge.
2. Instead of checking the facts to see if they support the charge, he instead...
3. Checks to see if the loyal opposition is also making the charge, at which point he....
4. Calls those making the charge partisan marks.

You, sir, are no skeptic.

You knee-jerk over to DU to see if those folks there are complaining, and that's your gold standard, huh? "Well if the leftys are complaining, then Bush must be doing SOMETHING RIGHT!!!"

The response couldn't possibly actually be slow, inept, insufficient or what's the word.....

President Bush, facing blistering criticism for his administration's response to Hurricane Katrina, said Friday "the results are not acceptable."

That must hurt, huh, corplinx. Here you sacrifice what credibility you have left as a free-thinker to knee-jerk some support for Bush, and he undercuts you by agreeing with the lefties.

That's gotta sting.

I'd give the same advice to you as I gave to the Secretary of Homeland Security: Turn on f8cking CNN. AFTER you visit this link:

Always good to see who the marks on the forum are.

You are shameful.

Watch this clip of Michael Brown, the head of FEMA on nightline

http://movies.crooksandliars.com/Nightline-Fema.mov

Another guy who needs to f*cking turn on CNN, apparantly. Jesus.

Before Bush hired him into FEMA he was an estate planning lawyer in Colorado and council for the International Arabian Horse Association Legal Department.

Glad to see he has zero qualifications.

After the ongoing defense of the ongoing Iraq debacle (to say nothing of the fraud that put us there), it should come as no surprise that Bush will remain blameless for many folks in regards to the Katrina matter.

If Bush were found to be a serial killer, the apologists would claim that the boy-king's critics were politicizing his victims.

Yes, yes if you don't agree with I am saying then you are an appologist who would deffend Bush in a ridiculous strawman I am coming up with in the next paragraph. Blah blah blah blah.

It's getting old.

You wanna talk about politicizing the hurricane, look at this:

red_helicopter2.jpg

That's a Presidential photo op, going on an hour ago!

Yes, that's TWO coast guard helecopters SITTING THERE and crews of coast guard STANDING AT ATTENTION TO BE A BACKDROP for a press conference.

I'm SO F***ING MAD.

Oh yeah, and worse is what he's actually saying while those Coast guard helecopters and their crew are being waylaid for a photo-op:

red_helicopter2.jpg

The good news is -- and it's hard for some to see it now -- that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch. (Laughter.)

I can't believe it. I really, really can't.

You are also jumping to unsupported conclusions like mad!

Q: Do you know that these choppers are ready to fly? That they have crews rested and ready? That looks like a maintenance hangar to me. Do you suppose that choppers can fly for days on end without any downtime for maintenane or re-fueling or resupplying with rescue and medical supplies?

A: No you don't. The blame Bush mentality trumps your critical thinking skills every time! Doesn't it?? Admit it...you are ready to jump to any conclusion as long as it re-enforces your dearly held belief that Bush=Hitler.

How very creationist of you...

Wait a minute. Bush = Hitler?!!

When have I EVER. EVER. Said anything remotely LIKE THAT?!

Please search EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY POSTS.

I treat the President with respect. I respect the office, if not the man. I always go out of my way to call him "The President" or "President Bush." Rarely if ever do I even call him "Bush" because I find it disrespectful. I've never used derogatory things like "chimp." Bush=Hitler is the furthest, furthest thing from how I think, feel or express myself.

Search my posts, you'll find this to be true, and true for years now. I go out of my way to show the President respect. In this circumstance it's not warranted, but I do it anyway.

"My dearly held belief?!!?"

Retract that now. I insist.

And as for your again, knee-jerk response.

If those helecopters aren't ready to fly, Why aren't they being worked on Why is nobody loading, fueling or working on them?

And what's your answer for the dozens of Coast guard just standing at attention back there? They're resting?!??!

What amazes me is that GHW Bush and Clinton can stand there and say that no one could have forseen the things that have happened. Meanwhile, numerous articles, papers, and computer models have been available that detail exactly what would happen in an event such as this. An article about was published in U.S. News and World Report only six weeks ago. A documentary was made in early 2005 about hurricanes other forces of nature in which a hurricane-hitting-New Orleans scenario was discussed. Lots of people have forseen this. It's been talked about for years.

You saw all that in the background? You saw that there could not possibly be anyone loading, or working on them? Please, please go apply for the prize! You are a remote viewer extraordinare! As for me...well I have no special powers...I could not fully see the birds except that there was blurry movement of people in uniform around them.

Now I agree that Bush's Trent Lott comment was idiotic...made me cringe...but doesn't make Bush evil or incompetent.

As for my characterization of you...I stand by it. You may not have ever typed "Bush=Hitler" but you are certainly demonstrating the mindset of the Blame Bush/America first crowd...and they are forever making Bush=Hitler comparisons. Save the righteous indignation and just this once admit that maybe...just maybe you could be wrong on this one....

Its think its some weird form of PC. Nobody wants to question the lack of due dilligence byt the municipality/state and citizens of New Orleans so instead they go around lieing like this. Yes, this is Dubya lieing. He knew it was going to happen just like anyone else with half a brain.

There's moving video, you tool. It's a press conference.

Everyone's standing at attention. You can see that nobody is working on them.

Rik, we've had arguments before, and we've had agreements.

You need to have a drink and watch the news for once. After that, you'll need a few.

I say with all the sorrow in my heart, that President Bush has failed America.

What really amuses me about corplinx is how he always manages to strike that rightous, above it all, superior tone in so many of his posts, while he simultaniously spouts right wing spin as mindlessly as any left wing shill. An amazing talent.

Do you work for the right wing political machine corps, by any chance? If not, its a horrible waste.

That was a hangar Silicone...hangars are where people work on airplanes. Helicopters are very complex airplanes. My take on the hangar press conference is that you have made assertions which you could not possibly know. Coupled with the fact that you have no inkling what you are talking about unless you are a pilot, mechanic, or have hung around alot of airports and are personally familiar with what goes on in maintenance hangars.

I myself am no expert and can tell you for a fact that I watched that press conference and could not tell you with any measure of accuracy the current status of those aircraft. I'm also a licensed private pilot Silicone...I know enough about aviation to tell you that I (and most certainly you) could not possibly know the flight status of those aircraft.

Now please tell me how you could tell that the birds in question were tied up being backdrops for a press conference. Tell me your level of expertise...and give me your evidence. Hint: Your low opinion of Mr. Bush is not evidence.
