I'll give you some examples of how any objective person can ascertain when one is generally higher in intellectual ability than others from an e-mail I sent to another person who also did not like my facts. Further can you prove that my claim that no one on the forum is as intelligent as me is ridiculous? Just because you use the word ridiculous about my claim that does not mean that your opinion on that score is correct...........!

You claimed that you were more intelligent than anyone on the forum. Further, you claim this as a fact. However, you have not interacted with everyone on the forum, nor have you read all, or even a good sample, of the the posts from everyone on the forum. Therefore, even if there was a way in which you could deduce relative intelligence levels from postings on a forum, there is no logical way that you can even begin to know that you are more intelligent than everyone else here.

The fact that you have asserted this claim (of being superior in intelligence to everyone on the forum) again, with scant supporting evidence, would suggest a lack of intellectual rigour sufficient to leave the reader with good evidence that you fall well short of the claim you make for yourself. Furthermore, your attempt to turn the onus onto me ("can you prove that my claim that no one on the forum is as intelligent as me is ridiculous") demonstrates a lack of understanding of even the most basic of logical constructs.

I don't doubt for a minute that you are intelligent. You may even be the most intelligent poster who has ever posted on this or any other forum on the internet. However, you have no way of knowing this, nor any way of demonstrating this. Acknowledge this and withdraw the ridiculous claim, or have it forever held against you.

2) I don't know very many people whose intellectual capacity matches or surpasses my own and I have come across few in my lifetime and I have a very wide acquaintance of the highest and the lowest and those in reputation for greatness as well as superior intellect. Certainly no one on this forum!

Tell me how you could ascertain that most of the people you meet in life have lower intellectual abilities than you? As for the ridiculous claim that no-one on the forum is as intelligent as you, or that there is something about being African American which is supposed to mean something significant........how about you show us your working. Support that claim or withdraw it.

It's a technique used by a(or multiple) type(s) of person (psychology is not my strongest field) to pull attention from the actual subject to a how great they are and thus why you should listen to them. Compare the post to the website to notice exactly what has been done with that greatness.

Also note that she is conflating things that are common knowledge in the sciences with the idea that I (or indirectly anyone) must have a high level degree and/or worked in the appropriate fields in order to state what anyone who follows decent science oriented periodicals and books and real documentaries (not crap like Through the Wormhole which passes for same) would know and be able to follow.

Now, as to her question: I was (am retired but keep well up in all my fields of interest) certified to teach K-12 General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Media (run Library/teach Television Production) and ON PURPOSE left out some classes I had taken to avoid certification in Language Arts and Math and Social Studies/History (the on purpose was because the state was wasting too much time with testing in the first two - rather than teaching the subject and the last was watered down and covered too few things of historical importance). Anyone with that background should be quite capable of making any of the points I noted in the post she refers to - but, admittedly someone further up the academic/professional ladder might well include more data on where she goes wrong, but they would certainly conclude that is her situation - as I have. Thus I am fine with someone/anyone passing on the patents - though she might want to look up previous threads here that discussed the problems of the Patent Office and certain patents in the past.

I fail to see how learning more about you would help me provide general advice about the challenge. Every bit of advice I provided was meant for every potential challenge applicant.

How do you know or guess when someone is feeling envious, Ladewig? What are the signs because most people to my understanding don't just open up and admit that they envy someone for it's generally an ugly emotion and smacks of feelings of inferiority in the envious to my knowledge and understanding although some people have opened right up to me and said plainly, "How I envy you!" This message board is very, very much unlike polite society. Not that many posters attempt to hide their negative emotions. You will not search far to find bickering, quarrelsome threads in which posters attack other poster's positions very graphically. There is a rule that one may not attack posters directly, but one may attack posters' ideas mercilessly; some experienced posters make an art of dancing on the line separating the attacking of posters and the attacking of posters' ideas. In such environment, jealousy is often easy to spot.

You are welcome to search threads about IQ on this message board. You will find the opinions and the research of psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists, psychometricians, educators, biologists, and many other professional and armchair scientists.

Furthermore, as a skeptic, I am willing to admit I could be completely wrong about my impressions of posters' views of IQ claims. Perhaps the majority are jealous beyond belief. If I am presented with evidence showing that my position is incorrect, I will unhesitatingly change my position.

My last piece of advice is that one try not to cram too many topics into a single thread. You are more than welcome to start a thread about IQ in general, responses to IQ scores in general, or even responses to IQ scores in this message board. I assure you that any of those topics will attract no shortage of posters.

She already has written and is currently selling her “memoir/autobiography”. Though she doesn’t officially call it a memoir; it’s more like a diary where she recounts the daily events of her life.

Here is a typical passage from her book “The Interpretation of Dreams Volume X”; the 10th and most recent book in the series:

After a while one’s ability to withstand wears down especially with all the psychological abuse I’ve had to take and for as long as I’ve had to take it. I don’t feel physically ill, but I’m just incredibly frustrated, angry, and filled with pure hatred for those who keep deliberately doing things to me that they know aggravate me and that they do every single day without fail usually many incidents of same per day.

I think this is all part and parcel of the general conspiracy of silence, persecution, harassment and 24/7/365 surveillance that this country has been perpetrating against me formally for over three decades and for one and one half before that! I truly wish these people ill, truly! And I hope none of that will I have to suffer because truly I don’t deserve it! A pox and a curse on all of them!

That website doesn't really start well, I did check that. Then things kind of went downhill a little when i found some more sites that OP had started up, with it all finally tapering off in some other public form posts.

I rather hope that Avataress will be back and clarify some of this, however doubtful it appears to me.

Or she is busy looking for a statistician. Or she is busy reading up on challenge applications. Or she is researching astrology claims. Or she is doing any number of things that have a higher priority than constructing responses in these two threads. Not posting for two days is merely evidence of not posting for two days. I suggest it is too early to make snide remarks about not posting. I am fine with people making snide remarks about her previous posting style- I am just saying not making posts for a couple of days is not worth of snark.

On the other hand, if a week or two go by, I may go back and update my list of observed behaviors of people who insist they want to make a JREF Challenge application but really don't want to make a serious application.
