If I'm reading him right, he's saying that DOC is an embarrasing detail about Christianity.
But wouldn't that mean whoever wrote DOC was telling the truth?

I think so. Either that or that once someone admits to knowing DOC they ruin any chance to get elected President. But wouldn't that mean whoever wrote DOC was telling the truth?![]()

I'm unsure. I've figured out that embarassing things = truthiness, but I don't think that martyrdom = difficult sayings. I think that martyrdom = Sir Luke is the World's Greatest Historian™.But what if he or she were martyred a few times? Wouldn't that be evidence of Sir Luke's knowledge of difficult sayings?

Wow, this theology stuff is a lot harder than it looks.
Point of order!
This is a true Ad Hominem.
Carry on.
I threw that out there to be silly. But I do think it can fall into the ad hom category because you are using his flaws as an argument against his position.I disagree.
It would be nice to think that he would be courteous enough to answer your question. I hold out hope....If he will answer my other post with a straightforward, honest YES or NO, I will retract the comment.
Or a lot easier.

I'd nominate this post, but I'm not sure about nominating the use of someone else's illustration. The analogy is brilliant, though.
You could nominate Bill Watterson, although the comic is some two decades old.![]()

I would assume that there's a British person coming, and point out to him that the correct pronoun is "Briton".If someone runs into my town in 1776 and yells "the British is coming", I'm not going to take the time to criticize the guy on his grammar.
DOC's dishonesty seems to have kept him from answering the questions posed to him.
On the other hand, we've figured out how to get him to stop bumping one of his threads.
The OP was not started in earnest. This is the one he doesn't want bumped. It has too much evidence for other religions that is equal to his own.
OP fail. You've requested evidence for religions - religions - other than Xianity. Well, there are literally billions of pieces of evidence of religions other than Xianity.Hi, I currently have the below thread in the History and Literature forum.
http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124603
In that thread which has over 14,000 posts I give some historical and other evidence why I believe Christianity is true. That thread has been closed temporarily. Until the thread is reopened I've decided to have a different thread. In this new thread I would like members of religions "other than Christianity" to give evidence why you believe your religion is true. Thanks
Once again please do not post evidence for Christianity in here.
The OP was not started in earnest.
Yet, throughly in character. But that would be blatantly dishonest!
