Perpetual motion machine examination rules, please.

As Dumb All Over says, if you are not making a claim for the Million Dollar Challenge, please discuss this elsewhere. I recommend either the General Skepticism or Science subfora.

read my first post please. Am awaiting response from the people that amke those decisions. They have yet to write and tell me that indeed this qualifies.
So I would guess their answer is no. Yet why leave open a topic that has been resolved negatively ?

P-motion, trust me. Perpetual motion machines, any perpetual motion machine, qualifies for the challenge. It took a deep search for you to pull this thread from the ashes. Surely during that search you must've come across all kinds of previous PM threads.

But I will give you the benefit of a doubt. There seems to be a slight contradiction between your first post and your statement that you are not applying for the Challenge. So, I'll ask again.

Given that your machine does qualify, do plan on applying for the MDC?

Final thought-- I wouldn't necessarily expect a reply from JREF about your initial inquiry. If they do reply, they might just say to scan the forums and answer the question yourself. No need to do even that now, as I've told you your machine qualifies.

...
I assure you it'll qualify if you permit examination to eliminate cheating.

The bottom line: Will you apply for the JREF Challenge?

1. YES

2. NO

I just sent P-Motion the following PM:

Sent this to you for your convenience.
I also assure you, we (at least DAO et moi) would be glad if you choose to submit your built and ready to test PMM to the JREF Challenge.

In due time. Would be foolish to say no when I will be doing it anyway.
As for cheating. I do believe that something that is in the public domain and verified by many people should satisfy any concerns.
Basically, open source and all relevant information needed for another person to build a replica that works.

But you did say no, remember? Is it yes or no?

Here you are quite wrong. I can assure you, your machine will be gone over with a fine tooth comb and scrutinized inside and out. What? You think Randi is going to hand over a million bucks without checking your machine first? Dream on.

Cool. So you are definitely making a claim for the JREF Prize. Nice.

Do you have a specific time-frame?

Of course I assumed P-Motion had already familiarised himself with the necessities for a proper application.

Which the JREF will receive in due time.
P-Motion is here to either:

A) Take the challenge, in which case he is far from ready.

B) Engage in a bit of stroking off a la edge, in which case he should PM me, there are many better sites than JREF that I can recommend for that purpose.

With the reward of USD 1,000,000 for the proof of his claim, of course P-Motion is serious. How dare you think otherwise?

If he is serious, he needs to do the following, in order: Build the ****ing thing (not design, not theorize, not blather on about, build). Show it to the media and the Physics prof at his local community college. Apply for the challenge.

If P-Motion is serious, then he knows he only has a couple of short years to accomplish all three. If he is serious, I expect to see nothing of him for at least the next few weeks, until he has done what no one seems to have been able to for the past several hundred years, and that is build a ****ing working Bessler wheel.

Wow, you got the message across with considerably less swearing, I tell you what. [/Hank Hill]

It's been a little under 300. It's just that if the details and scale are not properly done, it might not work.
But what will make it worth while is being invited to Germany to talk about how I figured out how Bessler did it.
Some good German sausage with sauerkraut and a good German beer, now that's how you motivate someone :-)
Until then.............

Of course. What are clichéd nutrients compared to a Nobel Prize?

Don't you have work to do? That PMM isn't going to build itself!

P-motion, your real name wouldn't be John Collins, would it?

No it isn't. It's Jim. Right now I am in a discussion of how Bessler could've built his wheel.
I have mentioned to John about how I thought Bessler did it. No interest.
Still, I have come to know some people in Germany that are interested.

Thanks, Jim.

Can you share with us how "Bessler did it?" John Collins might not be interested, but I'll bet many here, including myself, are very interested.
