Penn & Teller episode on Catholicism draws outrage

Interesting topic (militaristic Christianity) but poorly made documentary (the movie version). I can't say how the book is, but if it's anything like the movie, I recommend finding other sources.

Never saw the movie (don't know anything about it), but the book has pages of citations and references per chapter, and is not only quite thorough on its own but it's an excellent book to find supplemental reference material to study separately.

Perhaps they are manufacturing some controversy? Drum up some press for themselves.

The show has kind of lost some steam when you look at some of the more recent topics. And their arguments aren't the best either.

You would think if the Vatican or someone made this happen, there would be some news of it. Nothing on his twitter, nothing on any of his blogs or videos or anything. Does Penn really seem like the kind of guy who keeps quiet about this sort of thing?

I've seen it suggested elsewhere that he might be under contractual obligation not to talk about it.
