And, frankly, anthrax just isn't that big a deal. It's easily treated with antibiotics. Yes, I know five people died, but as I recall some of them were very old, with weakened immune systems, and so on. Now, I'm not saying that I want to catch it, but there are far worse diseases that could be used as WMD's.
I think only one was very old--the woman judge in Connecticut was 98. Eleven people got inhalation anthrax; five of those died. Now, in all probability it's not that that bad a disease provided it's recognized. IIRC one of the posters here was assigned a case # in the anthrax attacks (as a possible victim) and was on Cipro.
