Downs Syndrome is a genetic disorder and not related to anything that happens in pregnancy

Of the folks I know with DS, only one of them is the youngest of the family, to the point where they could be due to older parents. My cousin is a couple years older than me, his mom is a couple years younger than my dad, and dad was 36 when I was born, so I suspect she would have been about 30. She has a younger son who is not DS. The neighbor up the street is the oldest and his mom was probably 21. A college friend was maybe 33 with her daughter.

So while older parents are more likely to have a DS child, most DS children don't come from older parents.
 
I'm trying to figure out what Sarah Palin found offensive in that episode.

Was it the idea that someone could be attracted to a person with Down's Syndrome?

Was it the idea that a person with Down's Syndrome might act rude and have other emotions ... like other people?

Hmm .... Could it be that Sarah Palin didn't actually watch the episode?

Her name was not mentioned. The girl said "her mother was the former governor of Alaska".

That only applies to Sarah Palin, AFAIK, but is not her name...
 
There's comes a point where you know what they meant by it and plausible deniability doesn't cut it. (But screw her anyway.)

With those just two irrelevant issues, I can already begin noticing a pattern.
You fail to become vice president, so you dedicate the rest of your life to call attention over you in regards to these mundane issues.

Letterman and MacFarlane (and a host of others) called attention to Palin. It would appear that they are dedicated to make references to the VP candidate on the losing ticket.

Yup. She made an informed choice to have the baby. She's very proud of the choice she made.

She just doesn't trust other women with this choice.

I think we've already covered this.

I think the line was meant to be the snotty girl Ellen telling a fib or being snarky.

'Cause remember, Sarah Palin's child with Down syndrome is a boy just under 2 years old.

It really makes no sense to say the writers were suggesting that Trig will grow up to be a selfish, domineering teenage girl.

No, I think they're dedicated to comedy and satire.

Do you need me to cite scores of examples of jokes made by Letterman and MacFarlane that make no reference to Palin?

For that matter, do you need me to cite other comedians who sometimes make reference to Palin?

ETA: I'm not certain, but I bet Letterman has made more references to Dr. Phil than to Palin. Yet Dr. Phil was never the VP candidate on a losing ticket. I'm sure there is an individual celebrity that has been referred to more often on Family Guy than Sarah Palin. So it would seem that your conclusion is utterly unsubstantiated.

nevertheless, long plane rides are often avoided during pregnancy. Sarah was ok with it.
Also, d.s. can be spotted in the womb; an ethical quandary.

Unless you're rabid right or working the slave-race thingy.
