P & T tickets for TAM5!

What night do we want to see the P&T show?

I'm counting five people in this thread, including me, who seem to prefer Friday, and about five more people showing interest in a Friday group. I've already paid for tickets to the two other magic shows, and I'm not there on Wednesday, so it's the only option for me. I'm not sure how long the show is, but I'm sure we could join up with the forum party afterwards?
 
The pre-show, with the envelope signing and music by the Mike Jones Duo, starts at 8, and the main show runs from 9 until approximately 10. Penn & Teller sign autographs in the lobby afterwards.

Alright. Here is where we are at by my count. Let me know if this is inaccurate. I didn’t include Thursday or Friday because there weren’t a lot of people and we will have trouble without at least 10 people per night. If the Thur/Fri folks can make it on Wed or Sat let me know. If anyone wants to switch days please let me know.

Also, it is likely that I will have to front the money for these tickets and collect from you when we meet so please make sure you are serious about attending. If you want to buy tickets on your own you are still welcome to do so just let me know so I can remove you from the list.

Hey, Gulliamo - the friends that are coming to TAM want to go, even if the group doesn't have enough people. If it looks like their is not a special rate for Saturday, just pm or whatever and I'll try to order them direct.

How did you reach this conclusion? There are more than 6 people in this thread who have shown interest to go on Friday.

Actually, given the preferences people have given in this thread, I think it would be possible to get more than 10 people (with some margin) on Wednesday, Friday AND Saturday. Forgive me for speculatively scheduling people around, but for example:

That is why I am posting the chart so we can re-shuffle if feasible. Do we, in general, prefer to go with as big as group as possible or everyone OK going with smaller groups? It makes little difference to me. I am simply trying to organize this. Can someone volunteer to front the payment for the other days if necessary?

Is Merko's layout acceptable to everyone?

Yes, advanced payment would be nice, but I am not willing to take a loss on tickets to do so. (Although I would be paying interest on the tickets until I get reimbursed. :( )

Put me down for Wednesday, Gulliamo, if you can.

I might suggest you do the lists again an PM them to everyone (you can do only 7 at a time on the PMs' and see if you can get confirmations from all.

Just my tattered Egyptian Pounds' worth.
 
Just to second - my preference is Sat, not Wednesday. I had initially voted for Wednesday, but it looks like Sat would work better for me.

Is there anyway you could have them issue us a code or something, they I could just call in with my visa # or something? Or they can invoice whomever, and we could call in to apply payment. I don't have a paypal, so the other option is to give you cash when I see you.

I asked for a code and Steven said they usually have one person pay for the group but he'd see if he can work something out. If not I'll take the chance just to have us together. JREF'ers have proved trustworthy thus far ;)
 
Yeah, it depends on their system. They might be able to set us up under one booking, leaving it pending, then have everyone apply payment before completing the transaction on their computer. Or they could do an invoice with net 30 days or something, and have every pay before then *shrug*

It doesn't really matter to me. And while the JREF is honest from what I've seen, putting it all on one card seems a bit of a gamble. Of course, you could probably quite easily sell the discounted tickets at TAM if people reneged.
 
Stop the presses. JREF has been in touch with P&T offices. It looks like we're going to be able to work out a discount, and you can get tickets from the JREF.

Don't do anything yet! Let me figure out what we have on Monday. Looks like tix for Wed and Sat at the moment.

Yippee! The credit card is safe again! Are the new, improved tickets good for any night or should I keep hacking away at this chart?

Yes, I will pay for my five tickets right away. That's a bit much to ask people to float.
