What a piece of crap. As of today, I cannot delete any emails in the inbox. I tried uninstalling the program and re-installing the latest and it still doesn't work. When I try to move an email into the deleted items box, it says "An outlook express store file may be damaged". WTF?

Do you have to use outlook express? I mean really HAVE to use it?

Its not very good.........or secure.

That was my second question. How do I change to a different email system? Using a cable modem hookup, if that makes any difference.

The file is damaged that stores the emails. Reinstalling OE won't fix that.

IIRC, there is a utility that is supposed to fix damaged mail files.

What version of Windows are you using? Are you using the latest version of OE.

Also worth trying is the option File->Folder->Compact All Folders

Which may fix the problem.

Here is a non-free one

I polled the forum a while ago (wanting to abandon outlook) and ended up choosing the "sponsored" (free) version of Eudora, with which I've been very happy...
