Merged Osama bin Laden dead,

It's a long thread so I can't read all of it but I can't help but wonder, has anyone suggested that John Edward or James Van Praagh or Sylvia Browne get in touch with ObL on "the other side" to get his version of the story?

We got the murdering slime ball.Osama is dead.

I just booted up my compuuter and there on my internet welcome screen is the headline that US forces have killed Osama bin Laden and recovered his body.

To the conspiracy theorists and to the drongos of the previous administration, NEENER NEENER NEENER.

Lol two threads in this section have already been moved and merged. You are a little late there lefty haha.

Oops. Should have scrolled down a little further. The topic lines looked so much alike. Guess I already know what Obama was getting ready to speak about when I last turned off the radio.

It does show that Obama can manage military and intelligence resources a little better than did the drongo he replaced.

Not really surprised you speak of the wealthy in the same terms you speak of a mass murderer.

He's already been buried at sea, for the purpose of not allowing his grave site to be a shrine.

Wait, they're going to respect Islamic burial procedures for OBL's body?

WTF?!

Grind him into fish bait. Feed him to pigs.

I was under the impression that USA (and western civilization in general) would have grown out of things like ritualistic corpse desecration, but I guess I was wrong.

Why not drag the corpse around the country behind a pick up truck and let people urinate on it? Make sure the mobs have plenty of them Islam flags to burn too.

American Baptist minister Robert Wadsworth Lowry said it best in 1896, I think:

When tyrants tremble in their fear
And hear their death knell ringing,
When friends rejoice both far and near
How can I keep from singing?
Damn, I teared up at that. I had the same song running through my head when they got Saddam.

I'm regretting that I only have a small amount of vodka in the house. I'll have to remedy that as soon as the corner drugstore opens. I think this occasion calls for splurging on Jack Daniels.

I'd rather that they had captured him and locked him up and thrown away the key, but I fully realize that taking him alive may have been an impossibility. I'm just glad they got him.

So apparently the way they figured this out was through tracking a courier. The courier was give up by detainees at Gitmo. I wonder if this information was obtained through an "enhanced" interrogation.

NY Times said:
Detainees at the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, had given the courier’s pseudonym to American interrogators and said that the man was a protégé of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the confessed mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks.

American intelligence officials said Sunday night that they finally learned the courier’s real name four years ago, but that it took another two years for them to learn the general region where he operated.

Still, it was not until August when they tracked him to the compound in Abbottabad, a medium-sized city about an hour’s drive north of Islamabad, the capital.
