Boy, I hope the delay isn't for some stupid "optical" reason like printing up a "Mission Accomplished" banner or flying him over to a military base so that he can make the announcement in front of troops.

They said he was going to address the nation an hour ago.

The Rockettes had to be flown in to do high kicks behind Obama while he talked of OBL's death. ;)
 
Somehow, the victory seems hollow without a trial, but the victory is rendered no less sweet by the justice delivered by the dedicated military forces of the United States of America.

I raise my glass to these fine military men and women, and to those who lead them.

Hooray for OUR side!
 
I would expect some terrorist attacks (or attempts) in the next few days/weeks, but I'm hoping that the fact that he was taken out while living in comfort at a mansion while his "troops" struggle in the caves of Afghanistan will detract a little from his mystique.

This is, of course, great news, but let us not get all carried away. Finding Saddam didn't end the problems in Iraq.
