Merged Orly Taitz's Obama birther lawsuit laughed out of court

I think the point that's being missed here is that he'd be ineligible to be president NOW.

This only adds to the predjudice view of americans that grew outside the US during the Bush years. It is really embarrassing. It's like watching your grandmother french kissing a stranger.

I find it unbelievable these people can bring crap like this to court and not get jailed.

My money is that Orly is well on her way to a contempt of court initiated tour of a jail. She will, of course, claim it is evidence of "tyranny."

Kind of a weird thing to say, considering Bush is known to be constitutionally ineligible to be president.

Not only does she not realize that George W. Bush is no longer eligible to be president, she used Orly as her "get me the hell out of my Iraq deployment" lawyer.

I wouldn't let Captian Dr. Connie take my temperature.

Ah; my mistake, I was rather young at the time and misremembered. Point still stands; I don't see how Bush Jr. was "constitutionally ineligible" for the Presidency.
I didn't say Bush Jr. was "constitutionally ineligible" for the presidency...

There it is.

I hereby announce and declare Orly Taitz the hottest and sexiest womam alive!!!!

Git-R-Done Orly! YOU ROCK!!!

Can someone please create a graphic of a frowning face throwing up other frowning faces to express the fact that I almost threw up upon reading that one.

I like the quote that says Obama and his mother should be repatriated to Kenya. THey gonna dig her up to send her "back"?

What mystifies me is that they think his mom (or, rather, her corpse) needs to be "repatriated" to Kenya. Is this yet another variant of the Birther crazy? That both parents were from Kenya?

How long until we have Beck asking, "why won't Obama just show us the proof that he isn't, in fact, a cyborg assassin from the future?"

What a silly question. We'll never get a straight answer out of Obamabot, as of course you can't be a natural born citizen if you haven't even been born yet!

And don't even get me started on the "cyborg <> natural" issue!

Captain Kirk could ask enough questions to force him into a logical paradox and force his positronic gears to freeze.

Oh, man! If the Taliban were Klingon and Obama were Kirk we'd be winning this war today.

And if Merkel had green skin..... well, then we'd have a proper denouement.

From the judge's court order today:

Full: judge order here.

When a judge quotes Yogi Berra in the first sentence of an opinion, someone is about to be taken to the woodshed. There is nothing more morbidly jolly than a pissed off judge. I speculate it is a chance to let loose of some frustrations...

It could be required, but I suspect that rather than fine her immediately he's giving her fourteen days to respond simply for comedy's sake. I can't wait to see her answer.

"You shouldn't fine me because you are a corrupt scumbag who is in on the treasonous plot to betray this country to the Kenyan Menace!!!"

You're not far off. It seems to me that she essentially has two arguments to make:

1. Don't fine me because I am too incompetent a lawyer to understand that the filing I made was not up to snuff...but it was an honest mistake originating in stupidity and thus really doesn't have the intention you might find necessary to imposing a fine; or

2. You are a corrupt traitor and I am providing you today with the opportunity to redeem yourself by throwing off the shackels that the corrupt Washington system has impossed on you and free yourself thereby empowering you to not only reverse your earlier ruling but to essentially buy my entire argument.

Either way, it would appear, she's heading up a Sh**creek without a paddle.

Of course, as I am writing this, I suppose the court could also conclude that she is mentally unstable and rather than fine her for contempt, confine her for psychiatric observation...that would be the ideal solution, but I don't think he has that power.

I'm predicting she'll do #2.

Randi can contact me for where to send the money at the email address I registered with the forum. ;)

Connie Rhodes just sent the judge the following:

... please withdraw the Motion to Stay that Ms. Taitz filed this past Thursday. I did not authorize it and do not wish to proceed. Ms. Taitz never requested my permission nor did I give it. I would not have been aware of this if I did not see it on the late news on Thursday night before going to board my plane to Iraq on Friday, September 18, 2009.

He could refer her to the state bar and advise they investigate her mental fitness.

Rule 11 sanctions aren't the same as contempt, and as I review the rule it looks like his "show cause" request is mandatory, although it does look promising as to comedic potential.

If he were to try to find her in criminal contempt, perhaps he could direct a competency violation as part of deciding the punishment. Courts usually have pretty broad powers as to that sort of thing. Having her detained in a mental hospital would drive the nutters into frenzy of epic proportions over perceived 1984ish comparisons.

Oooh, Orly is acting without informing or gaining the consent of her client?

Now she's really going to get in trouble. The judge - to say nothing of the state bar and the ABA - is not going to look kindly on this.

Clearly Dr. Rhodes was a plant by the Obama administration to put Orly in an awkward, legally suspect situation in order to sully here otherwise pristine dental, real estate and legal reputation. Dr. Rhodes should be deported to Afghanastan.
