Kevin Barret was in the O'Reilly Factor again tonight. It was especially amusing to hear him describe twoofers as "the most honest people you could ever meet". Immedeately after wich he repeated the worn out old twoofer lie about 84% of the country being twoofers.

The best O'Rielly could come up with this was "Well, I don't have the poll you describe in front of me so I can't respond to it, but I don't believe what you are saying". After wich, O'Rielly fell back into his usual routine of calling Barret an anti-american fanatic (wich Barret undoubtedly is, but considering the is the fifth time O'Rielly's had twoofers on his show, it's well past time to move on).

From O'Rielly to Hannity to Mancow, they all do the same thing with these guys. The twoofers could be soooo easily embarrassed and humiliated with just the facts alone, yet all the FOX hosts do is take the intellectually lazy way out.

It's ironic that FOX's commentators lament that Americans are fighting the war on terror as if they don't really care about winning. Yet they embody that same behavior when it comes to fighting the twoofers.

O'Reily did well with Fetzer but horrible this time round.

Get Gravy on there :)

What amused me was O'Reilly telling Barret he no longer had a job with that smug look on his face.

IMHO O'Reilly is a horrible person.

The interview with Phil Donahue was wonderful. O'Reilly was made to look a fool

OK, consider:

Fox news broadcasts to the 'faithful'. They present a spin on news which their viewers want to see.

Never, in a million years, would the average fox news viewer believe a government conspiracy, unless it was by a democrat administration, or the rate of income tax had been increased.

Bearing this in mind, fox is one of the few news networks which gives any time to the CTers.

The result is that, to the average god loving, gun owning, pension claiming, republican voting fox viewer the 9/11 conspiracy is promoted by them, you know ....liberals and democrats.

So fox can happily keep on presenting the CTers as being part of the enemy, ridicule them a little (but not too much or they won't come back on) and the viewers will 'tut tut' and reach for their copy of "10 great speachifications by G.W Bush" and be reinvigorated in their opposition to all and everything politically left of centre.

Just a thought

Just think: if 9/11 had happened under a Democratic President, the Truth Movement would be headline news every day. One Truther or another would be on Fox News every single second. There would be a huge investigation by Congress, impeachment proceedings--the whole bit. It's all we would be talking about.

Really? Are you sure?

The 9/11 CTs don't just cast blame on the President and his little chum club. It involves accusing multiple branches of the Federal Government of mass murder. Regardless of who the President is, would either mainstream Republicans OR mainstream Democrats accept that the armed forces, secret service, fire services, NIST, NTSB, FAA, and so forth, murdered fellow citizens?

I find that very hard to believe.

Also I find your avatar very disturbing. :p

My avatar is a tribute to the last six years--which, like most people in the world, I find rather disturbing.

Bill O'Reilly is not a master of skepticism and logic. He likes to accuse liberals of declaring war on Xmas. So he's ready for anything--especially the chance to smear a Democrat.

I say again: if 9/11 had happened under a Democratic President, it would be wall-to-wall, 24-hour-a-day news and discussion every single day of the week in the American media. They routinely invent out-and-out lies about Democrats, so 9/11 would be irresistible.

The only reason Fox lets on people like Kevin is to assassinate their character. They (mainstream media i.e. puppeteers) want to constantly teach the masses how to treat people who think independent of the system. It's so unbelievably predictable and comical...this characterization they paint of the backwoods, ufo cult member.

Don't think for yourselves people...you'll be an outcast...and shun from society. CONFORM.

I have a better theory: Bill O'Reily knows by being yelling "Anti-American", he is appeasing his target audience and could sell almost any message. The good thing is, Kevin sprouts some stupid crap like the 84% of the people "knew it was an inside job", which is both a lie and something too stupid to believe, requiring no part of Bill O Reily to seriously debunk in front of a right-wing audience.

And as for being "independent thinkers", 9/11 Deniers shows the exact elements and traits of a cult. You guys visit the same sites, sprout the same lies, and use the same debate tactics. You always agree with alternative media sources without an ounce of research and are willing to take the words of your master like Alex Jones without any sort of critique towards him.

Of course O'Reilly is attacking the Truthers. He's defending the neocons against a perceived attack. If the target were a Democrat, O'Reilly would be defending the Truthers, and the inside job theory of 9/11 would be discussed every three minutes.

OK, I think this is getting ridiculous. I am not a democrat, nor am I a republican, as I think both parties pander too much to their extremist elements. But your constant naked partisanship is getting tiresome. We get it, you hate republicans, and think they are the cause of all evil in the world. Fine. But some of us don't think this way, and it dismays me to see this partisan tripe paraded around in a non-political forum.

KNOCK IT OFF!

Lots of bad conspiracy theories exist during and about the Clinton administration and none of it was headline news.

I was hoping to see O'Reilly just ream the guy, but I really don't think he accomplished anything at all here.

No they wouldn't. There was an entire buttload of crazy Clinton theories, just as nutty as the 9/11 CTs, they didn't get aired. Most of them have never even been heard of by most people for this very reason.

Fox is no different than CNN, CBS etc. It's just another place to sell toothpaste and tampons.

Thanks for explaining that. As someone who owns a gun, watches Fox, voted for Bush (twice) and believes in God, I need someone smart like you to guide my dumb**s. Do you think you could find it in your heart to use your clearly superior intellect to let me know what media to watch? Maybe you should PM me clippings of what you think I am capable of reading and understanding?

Thanks, as an inferior idiot I am in awe of you superior powers of reason.

Well "tut, tut", I am off to shoot some Negroes, praise Jesus and cash my pension check. I hope my wife washed my good sheet!

The day Republicans resorted to supporting a complete fantasy like the Truth Movement to support their own agenda and discredit a Democratic government would be the day the Republicans lost all support.

I am no apologist for the Republicans by any means, but this is almost as fantastic a claim as the Truth Movement itself.

I am not a huge O'Reilly fan by any means, but he is hardly an unabashed neo-con. He has been fairly critical of the administration over the last couple of years. He does like drama though, and having a nutcase on is more dramatic than some accountant to discuss tax policy.

Guys, don't you remember how FOX news and the evil right wing media preached about OKC being an inside job? Or that Waco was set off by Jannet Reno's Death Squads?

No. Those remained the ramblings of the lunatic fringe.
