That isn't what the quote says. It says that they were convicted of water boarding and hung. Not that they were hung for water boarding.

No. Your comprehension is as bad as LostAngeles. Not all who were tried were convicted, ergo not all were hung. Also, none of them were hung for the charge of waterboarding. It is really that simple. They were hung for half a dozen other charges. Maddow never makes this distinction.

Matsui was hung for being found guilty solely for the Count 55. He was responsible for the Rape of Nanking in 1937.

The quote doesn't say that they were hung for waterboarding, and obviously if the ones that weren't convicted weren't hung. I don't understand what your point really is.

Why would Maddow make this distinction when the entire point is that waterboarding was illegal then as it is supposed to be now?

Maddow tried to revise history for her own agenda and erroneously state that Japanese who submitted Allied POW's to a type of "waterboarding" were given the death penalty for that crime alone. If all she wanted to state was that "waterboarding" was illegal in WWII, then why did she need to fabricate the penalty for this crime? The answer is obvious.

58 seconds into the rant. The video doesn't lie.

"We (The United States) hanged people for waterboarding."

You need to go back and read previous information posted in this thread. That is what Maddow said in her rant.
