Oprah Descends on Toronto with Woosters in Tow

TORONTO - If talk-show mega-star Oprah Winfrey decided to run for mayor, she’d win in a heartbeat — even as an American.


The love was as big as the venue at Monday’s Oprah’s Lifeclass: The Tour, which took place at the Metro Convention Centre, filled to overflowing both inside and out. This was one big honkin’ crowd to go with the big messaging Oprah and her merry band of inspirational speakers brought to town.


The Toronto stop was the first-ever live broadcast in Canada and, along with Oprah — who sparkled in a form-flattering soft knit bold red dress — was best-selling author Tony Robbins, senior pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes, global leader Deepak Chopra and spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant — new to Oprah’s roster of talent.

I was going to ask about Dr Phil. I remember him in the 90s, but haven't followed Oprah for decades till her last season. Is that quote a fair assesment about him? What is he like compared to her other spawn like OZ and Iyanla?

One thing that made me laugh is the thought of the bit where Phil appears on stage at Oprah's farewell concert, what the scientologist's faces must have been like in the audience etc.
