Open Letter to Dave Thomas

So do tell us how the difference between heat and temperature is relevant to our discussion about smouldering versus open fires.

A smoldering fire, contained inside something, can produce the same amount of heat as an open fire.

Well, there seems to be disagreement as to whether my summary comprises all the collective bee dunker knowledge about WTC 7, so I'll let you folks hash that out.

I see no disagreement. Your summary is pure garbage.

I don't think you guys understand the relationship between smoke and fire.
<irrelevant dodge removed>

You keep referring to yourself as 'you guys'. To be more precise, you do not understand the relationship between smoke and fire.
We are doing just fine, thanks. :D

I'm sorry, this is too stupid. Not only do we have to go back and argue first principles of physics with bee dunkers, (i.e., why matter causes resistance in the pathway of other, moving matter) but now they want to redefine what heat is.

Heat is energy. Temperature is the measurement of that energy.

You don't heat things up with "temperature". Temperature is a measurement.

never mind. I don't feel like being sarcastic right now.

You are the one doing the redefining.

And temperature is not the measurement of the energy that is in heat.

No more than voltage is the measurement of the energy that is in electricity.

And you have no need to go back and argue first principles. Simply read and learn.

Otherwise why not set up your own site where you can use your own rules for physics? ...though I suppose you would want to disagree with the name also.

So the quotes above describe fires inside the building? What evidence do you have to support this statement?

What about this comment, from the same site?

Viewing the north face of WTC7, from that many blocks away, and he can see inside the building?

Your assertions are getting sillier by the second. :D

Windows?

Really? Temperature is not a measure of heat energy?

Voltage is not a measurement of the energy contained within an electrical circuit?

I don't think you guys understand the relationship between smoke and fire.

When you try to burn green or wet wood in a campfire, what happens?

So the boy scouts torched the building?

Not that you really care or anything but you're a couple stages behind interpreting the significance of load paths and what they do to the resistance offered by the structure... One layered thinking isn't helping you here...

I don't think you guys understand the relationship between smoke and fire.

When you try to burn green or wet wood in a campfire, what happens?

What happens when you burn large volumes of tires, paper, rubber, plastics, equipment, wood, carpentry? Comparing apples to pie with the fuels there bud..

Temperature is not, correct; you got something right! OOPS, you failed it was a question. Gee, add thermodynamics to your list of topics you have no clue, like physics.

Voltage is not a measurement of energy in an electrical circuit! If not a question, you would have understood electricity. Add electricity as a topic you have no clue on.

Any more science areas you can't figure out? What grade are you in?

One might think, tsig, with the kinds of explanations you guys are offering. Sounds almost as plausible to me.

Do you have proof that there weren't boy scouts on site??
