OK Max or anyone else. Can you guess this book?

Well ok then, since you all insist.

Looks like I'm going to have to give a huge clue before you lot get it ;)

None of the main characters are human.

There ya go! :)

Is it a Redwall book?

Great. Now you've blown the airtight protocol you implemented.

That's the dumbest book title I ever heard, still, just the sort of thing Ian would read, he's a weird guy. You sure it's a novel?

:D

Here is the book and the image I printed out :)

Dick K got it!

And I would have gotten it right, too, Ian, but I couldn't read the title...I just saw that image of a brown bunny on the cover.

:)

I didn't think anyone would get it. Certainly I didn't think any skeptic would get it. Seeing Max was excluded I thought you would be the most likely. But you said yourself you were just guessing :)

Dick K got it only because of that huge clue I gave :)

Looks Like I was practically spot on 12 hits, a partial hit, a probable hit and one undecided.

I get a strong feeling that this is a novel we are talking about. - hit

The book explores the highs and lows of a period in the life of the main character. - hit

The surface message in this book can be analysed at a much more complex level. –hit

Often misunderstood this book will in the years to come be looked on more favourable than it is now. –probable hit

It is a book one that people with a literary background would certainly know although others might not. -hit

My chi tells me that on the back of the book we have tributes to the work itself. - Hit

Again, on the inside I feel that there might be something about the author, a potted history perhaps. –hit

I see on the front cover the authors name and the book title (I get a strong feeling of 3-4 words in the title) Hit, hit and (Partial hit - four words on page)

The letter A stands out. –hit

I also get a sense of alliteration somewhere. – undecided (Suspect A lot in the book)

I am seeing a greenish blue as a colour, - hit

The cover containing a oblique illustration. – hit

The illusion of a person/people prominent". – Hit (The characters take on the illusion of people.)

You are just a typical skeptic ignoring my psychic abilities. You don’t understand how psi works. It is not as simple as getting a book title No Psychic would claim to be able to do that, not even a truly gifted one like Lucianarchy. What we do it get images need to be interpreted. You can see that my vision was full of hits yet you refuse to believe it. Not only was I over 90% accurate on this test I will get the next one right as well.

Black (presumably colour of book or predominant colour) , crime, detective, family, three words in the title (or three significant words), sounds silly with the previous Max guess but I do get something like the “god Father” again – but it isn’t but has some link.

I'll have ancient (20+ years) memories of the book so willing to be corrected on any of the points about the book.

"Black" - one of the main characters is I believe called "Nightshade"!

"Crime" - well the rabbits are looking for a new home because of evil human developers , if that isn't a crime I don't know what is, plus who can forget the tragic murder in the book...

"Detective" - no link

"Family" - the book is all about family.

"Three words in the title" - "Water" "ship" "down" - no wonder I thought it was three words.

"God Father ... but it isn't" - well it certainly wasn't the God Father!

A hit on every significant piece of information bar the “detective”!

Ian,

Yes, that was a good clue and "Peter Rabbit" just popped into my head. (Yes, yes, I know it was wrong. If it'd been more of a thought-out choice, I would have picked "Animal Farm").

Actually I felt pretty good about Peter Rabbit, lol. Good enough to worry that, if I was right, there was NO WAY that anyone would think you hadn't PM'd me the answer! lol

Pretty hard to safeguard against that kind of cheating, though. (so, um, couldn't you have at least dropped me a hint yesterday? Who would know? Who would ever suspect? :) ).

Nah, I never cheat at anything Clancie. :) Possibly do it for a joke and then tell people after. It would have been interesting to see how some skeptics react if I had of told you! LOL

I haven't read through the thread yet, so I'll just post my guess first .... Hmmm, I getting a strong impression .... something's coming through .... might it be "Watership Down"????
