The Wisconsin and Idaho legislatures have already passed laws that limit collective bargaining rights for state union workers, now Ohio is getting close to doing the same.

Ohio is far more important to the union movement. It has the sixth largest number of public sector union members among all U.S. states, twice the number of Wisconsin. With many auto and steel and manufacturing plants, Ohio is also a union bellwether.

"This is really nothing more than an effort to re-balance the system and make sure that the people who pay the taxes are represented at the table," Governor Kasich said.

The moron apparently doesn't realise that the tax payers are now LESS represented because the people who own his sorry butt don't pay much of anything in taxes compared to what they earn, and actual tax payers, the working people in government employ, have been excluded. Idiot boy Kasich apparently hasn't figured out that he is supposed to be representing tax payers at the table, not the greed heads waiting like vultures to see what the Republicons will privatize and sell to the corporations for far less than actual value, in exchange for far less actual service.

Yeah, because it's the taxpayers who are stuck footing the bill for the ridiculous retirement benefits public union workers get.

In Illinois we're borrowing billions just to pay current pension benefits while state vendors have gone unpaid for months and even years in some cases. We're literally kicking old folks out of nursing homes to pay for the pension of some double-dipping government lackey.
