Squirrel 'spies' seized

Police in Iran are reported to have taken 14 squirrels into custody - because they are suspected of spying.

The rodents were found near the Iranian border allegedly equipped with eavesdropping devices, according to Sky News.

Honestly i dont belive she is a spy, but isnt it amazing how the "iran-bashers" directly assume she is innocent.

Most of the civilised world - NZ, Oz, Holland, Germany, Canada, USA and Italy - had withdrawn before the circus started, because it's obvious that Iran and other Middle-East countries claim the Holocaust never happened and therefore cannot come to terms with Israel's existence. Britain and other walk-outs knew it as well and they knew they'd be walking out. It seems pretty likely that this is how they're handling it and they've certainly got more media coverage than the boycotters, so maybe they were right.

To expect Iran to change all of its idiotic policies overhight is exactly why it's essential to have a president like Obama in the White House.

He's able to see a little bit further than naive, deluded people who expect a complete reversal of hundreds of years of hatred in a single day.

All you're doing is showing that you have no counter to the peace process other than not wanting peace.

Clearly not. Talking isn't so much a change of direction, but an indication that a change might be forthcoming.

A valid question, to which the answer is "No one knows what they plan to do." And that's the problem. Having nukes isn't the same as "being a member of a club" - it's having possession of the most powerful and destructive device in existence today. The fact that we don't know if Iran will act responsibly (or not) with such a device is reason for concern... and Iran's ongoing warlike rhetoric rightly escalates concern into something stronger.

When someone insists that a nation should be wiped from the face of the earth... and then proceeds to work at building weapons capable of it, it's absolutely reason for alarm.

Not to derail this thread (I hope), but I have the exact same concerns over North Korea. Both countries make threats, and both countries are pursuing nuclear power for "peaceful" reasons while stating to the world that they have the right to build a bomb.

If that's not cause enough for serious alarm, I'd hate to see what is.
