As some of you know I've been contacting various people and agencies to find out what became of the wreckage of flight 93. I've received various emails from United saying they were not positive but such and such said....

Today I got this;

Dear XXXXXXXX

Such information is readily available in the 9/11 commissions report and can be easily accessed on their website on-line.

Sincerely
XXXXXXXXX
Customer Relations

AM/ca
Ref #: 7825711A,

I've read the report and don't remember anything about what finally became of the wreckage (could be a brain fart on my part)

I emailed back asking for a reference.

Personally I think they are getting sick of "Truthers" asking stupid questions.

Does anyone recall the commission report covering this saving me rereading it)?

yah I think what you received was the " **** off asking stupid questions " response that has come about courtesy of da twoofers.

TAM:)

I'm glad I could help you with this, now you know how.

Can you tell me If the answer is in the report or are you just responding to be annoying?

I don't recall it being covered in the Report.

It is not the commission report, but for what it is worth, there is info from this article...

At a news conference, FBI agent Bill Crowley said that the field near Shanksville, Somerset County, has been turned over to the county coroner and that 95 percent of the plane found at the site has been turned over to United Airlines.

Crowley said the FBI has determined from the on-site investigation that no explosive was involved in the crash.

Thanks:

This is basically where I started with United. My question to them was what happened after they received the wreckage? Do they still have it? Was it scrapped?

I got one answer saying that (she) thinks it is being stored for a future memorial but had no specific details.

I would be persistent. You seem to have gotten someone in Customer Relations who probably doesn't have a clue, except that they are sick of being blasted with such questions (and likely many more much more ridiculous and accusational).

Ask to speak to someone else...that is my opinion.

Last I heard it was at Iron Mountain. Here is a video where a reporter mentions it.

That's what I've done. I also filled out FOIA requests to the FBI, FAA and the NTSB.

No one is going to say that I'm not a persistent bastard when it comes to finding out something I want to know.:D

No!
I contacted them last year and they only have memorabilia from the site left by people visiting. I'll try to dig up the email from them (plus I called, They're local (Boston) for me). It's only rumored they have the plane.

I would imagine that the wreck was turned over to whoever insured United Airlines aircraft, as it's pretty much standard procedure whenever an aircraft is damaged beyond economical repair. Although, when that happens, it's usually chopped up and turned into spares - so I have no idea what they'd do with a complete wreck :/

Thanks:
I got one email that said they thought that the (i forget at the moment) leasing/insurance (connected somehow I gathered) arm of United would have been the ones to except the wreckage. They claimed to have forwarded my question to them.

Hey I'm having fun now trying to track down the fate of the wreckage of flight 93. This is why I like this sort of stuff, the puzzle. (I like real mysteries not BS CD/conspiracy crap)
