Occupy Wall Street Violence...

After watching several videos related to OWS violence and following the trails of people who like to complain about such trivial nonsense as "littering in the streets", "improper hygiene", and what real "losers" these people are, I have noticed a pattern in the violence and I'm sure this won't stomach too well with the pro-cop/authoritarian/sanctimonious-wanna-be types here.

Most of these videos show law enforcement and police officers actually inciting violence with the protesters. Yet I did find one video where protesters were taunting the reporters from the Daily Caller and what looked like maybe sorta kinda some kids were harassing employees leaving work at a bank (not really sure what is going on because the video is so jerky and it's hard to see - just google Daily Caller occupy DC).

Other than that, YEP! It's the cops! Gotta love law enforcement!

I guess neither of you guys feel like answering any questions, eh?

I think the first that jumps to mind is context. What happened before the videos start rolling.

The second thing is to be aware not everyone at protests are there for the best reasons. Agent provocateurs are common at these gatherings, either inciting the authorities or the protesters depending on their employers needs.

You may laugh at that statement, but I have seen it twice in my time attending protests

I met a very few people at Occupy LA who seemed sketchy and who were advocating some really stupid stuff but there is no way of knowing if they were agent provocateurs or just clueless idiots who wanted the same national attention that Oakland had just received.

In every large group of people, there will be those who are quietly dedicated to the cause, those who are there for some personal reward or ideology, and those who are drawn to chaos. And when you have thousands of cops in one group, that same description applies.

3 times in my life I've seen protesters incite violence themselves. Does that make my following statement "Violent OWS protesters are common at these gatherings, either attacking civil servants doing their jobs or innocent bystanders" more credible than yours?

Based on some things I saw here in Australia, it was the Occupy groups that basically ask for it. Now before you attack me, hear me out. I am not sure what happened elsewhere but here, the protesters were asked to leave and the organisers were given official notification - official in terms of a legal order of eviction. They were warned and warned again that they would be physically removed and/or arrested should they not move on by the deadline.
Deadlines passed and final notices were issued.

When the police finally came to enforce the law there was resistance by the protesters. The police are entitled to both defend themselves and enforce the law which is what they were doing.

If the Occupy twits got a boo boo because they were breaking the law, "too bad" says I.

Did you actually go down and witness this, first hand? Or is this from the media or YouTube? Because those latter would probably be available for us to view and judge for ourselves and the former would not have precluded you taking pictures or videos yourself.

Thus, to cut to the chase,... Why should we hear you out? At best, it's anecdotal.

Reports from various newspapers and television; interviews with the police minister, the police chief, the protesters themselves and people on the ground; and a passing knowledge of law enforcement, laws and court proceedings.

You can disbelieve me if you like, but I notice that you did not question the OP's version and lack of evidence? Why not?

But if I boil down my version it goes like this"
Occupiers were breaking the law.
Police enforced the law with required force
Occupiers get a boo boo and start crying "brutality".
Law abiding citizens say "suck it up Princess" :)

Did the police set up those rapes?

There are probably more rapes, per capita, after your high school prom.

What a fantastically ridiculous thing to say.
If I didn't know better I might say you are actually condoning sexual abuse.
But I actually think differently and reckon you are simply trying to minimise rape because it was in a worthy cause.

I didn't ask the OP because he said where he'd gotten his information and you did not. I was curious as to whether you were an armchair critic or actually took the time and trouble to go check it out for yourself. And you've confirmed the former. As I said, why should I hear you out? You have no better sources than the OP. The OP has one opinion and you have another and you both got your information from media and YouTube.

I mentioned those events as personal recollections to avoid people thinking I was engaging in unsupported conspiracy speculation. Your experiences are no less valid, I made my point to remind people not all violence at protests is spontaneous or random

Did you notice any edits in the videos you watched?

You mean the videos provided largely by OWS and those sympathetic to them? Yes, they've never, ever been found to omit context that makes them look bad before, especially that showing that they confronted the cops trying to leave peacefully. They are always totally objective in presenting their flaws, and encourage criticism and responsibility.

That was sarcasm. I know it's hard to tell.
