Obama's Terrorist Buddies

Good, I'm glad they found a cause to support that doesn't involve blowing things up.

Now, if only this implied that he endorsed what they were doing when he was ten years old and living in Indonesia, we'd have ourselves some actual mud.

Yes. It's called the Woods Fund. None of its objectives include explosives in any way.

As to why they chose Ayers to sit on a board, you'd have to ask them.

You would not be so kind to Ayers if he were not a Marxist terrorist.

If he was a former member of The Order instead of the Weather Underground you would have a different opinion.

I find it curious that I have not heard anyone in this conversation comment on "the terrorists win if we surrender" in reference to this offering from Obama in his speech in Corpus Christi, Texas on Friday. (22 Feb. Trivia moment: George Washington's actual birthday.)

The crowd roared when Obama said he would end the war in Iraq, which he said has not made America safer.

"I will bring this war to an end in 2009," Obama said. "I don't want to just end the war, I want to end the mind-set that got us into war. We've been governed by fear, and fear is not a good adviser.
I suppose this is not the first time he's said that.

I recall another president, in my lifetime, who ran a platform that included "end the war" as a plank.

Nixon.

He did it twice.

Once in 1968, and again in 1972.

Got any ideas on why I am not comforted?

He mentions that "47,000,000" figure again as the number of uninsured Americans in the above speech. I have heard from critics of this statistic that this number includes those in nursing homes, psychological facilities, prisons, illegal aliens, and those Americans who simply do not want to buy it even though they can. Does anyone have the break down?

I do not see where I have been "kind to Ayers". I disapprove strongly of Marxist terrorists for two reasons. One is that they're terrorists, and ... well, you can guess my other objection.
