Looks like Barack's past association with members of Weatherman/The Weather Underground is starting to percolate. Liberal blogger Taylor Marsh:

Obama's Ayers and Dorhn relationship is something more than a few people have been trying to nail down for weeks. You can bet the Republicans and their 527s will do just that. I don't blame them either. This goes well beyond the Rezko connection. In the bad judgment file, any association whatsoever with a domestic terrorist who actively tried to thwart an air war during the Vietnam war, calls our Marines "terrorists," while also being unrepentant about it, shows a lack of seriousness I will never accept. John McCain's personal disgust at this connection between Obama and Ayers will bring out a righteous fury that will likely pit the War Hero against the Terrorist's Friend, which is just one angle Obama's opponents will use.

Conservative blogger Rick Moran:

Ayers and Dohrn are simply the most visible of the far left supporters who propelled Barack Obama’s early political career. The woman who touted Obama at the Ayers meeting, Alice Palmer, was herself a far left activist who was into community organizing like Obama. There was Dr. Quentin Young, a radical physician who was quoted in USA Today in 2005 saying “”national health insurance is no longer the best solution, it’s the only solution: All other alternatives have been proven disastrous failures.”

Ayers and Dohrn raised the child of Kathy Boudin. Who's Boudin? She's another radical who served 22 years for her part in an armed robbery that resulted in the deaths of two policemen and a security guard.

Hillary was in the streets of Chicago at the Democratic convention of 1968 during the "Days of Rage."

I don’t know if she was throwing feces and urine bottles at the cops.

Is the donation to the Obama campaign by a Weather Underground terrorist similar to the Don Black donation to Ron Paul, or is it worse?

Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home—part of a campaign courtship—reflects more extensive interaction than has previously reported.

Can you imagine Ron Paul going to the home of Don Black and seeking support for his campaign?

I'll meet you in Chicago and we'll talk. I grew up with these names. I don't say Obama is somehow corrupted by these friendships, but to marginalize their influence back in the day on their fight for communism would be insulting to them. They are not ashamed of such labels.

I can't find where Alice Palmer or Quentin Young have fought for Communism even in the most metaphorical sense, do please enlighten me.

OK, I've read up a little more on this. This is standard guilt-by-association mudslinging.
This story by Ben Smith seems to be the origin of this charge.

In context, this is what happened: When Obama first ran for state senate, the incumbant state senator Alice Palmer, who was stepping down to run for Congress, took Obama to this house to meet some local constituents who were active in democratic party politics. These people were university professors who happened to be former radicals. To describe them as friends at this point seems inaccurate. It would be more accurate to say that Obama encountered these people when he was running for office, because candidates for office have to go out and meet a lot of people when they run for office.
In other words 'Obama's Terrorist Buddies' is a lie and a smear.

Dohrn and Ayers are not terrorists?
Former terrorists, yes, but they're not his buddies.

Look, here's how close your "liberal blogger" can get.

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth won't have to make stuff up about Obama. His relationship with Ayers is a fact, as they also were both seated on a nine-member board of the Woods Fund in 1999, for three years.
That may be a fact, but as "relationships" go, it's not much of one.

They are not his 'buddies.' At least not according to anything I've read. They are people he encountered while running for office.

They held a fundraiser for him at their home. Ayers himself donated to Obama, and served for years on the board of a foundation with him.

Good, I'm glad they found a cause to support that doesn't involve blowing things up.

Now, if only this implied that he endorsed what they were doing when he was ten years old and living in Indonesia, we'd have ourselves some actual mud.

... and served for years on the board of a foundation with him.
Yes. It's called the Woods Fund. None of its objectives include explosives in any way.

As to why they chose Ayers to sit on a board, you'd have to ask them.
