I think someone said it earlier, but Obama has a way of connecting with his audience in a way Bush couldn't. I don't think many people outside the U.S. actually believed Bush when he said many of these things.
I just want the Obama "I'm now a muslim and the U.S. is a muslim nation" World Tour T-shirt!
I said this throughout Bush's Presidency. I don't think many USA folk really understand how badly Bush played outside of the USA. I've commented before that if Clinton (or Reagan - it's not a party-political thing) had taken the same decisions as Bush, and pursued the same policies, the USA would have had more support.

You can make it yourself! Cafepress doesn't fact-check, to my knowledge, so you can wear a shirt as divorced from reality as you like.
i think those who are reading more into this..are doing it for their own political reasons.
and btw, what is the ultimate meaning of Obama's speech today?
The days of the USA bending over for Israeli-right wing interests, are over.
The days of an unrelenting and unflinching American alliance with Israel, at the expense of our relations with the Arab and Muslim world, are over.
Things are gonna change.
The days of enabling are over. The days of tough love...have begun.
What does he mean "we"?
... I liked that he mentioned that America doesn't wish to occupy countries, nor is America an Empire ...
Does he think we're idiots?
Am I, like, being drafted, man?We as in a secular West.
This...
...followed by this...
...is really funny.
Are you just now learning this?In other words, the world is shallow and prejudicial.
Are you just now learning this?
We as in a secular West.
Obama is the Black Bush.
