But that's my point. They have fallen in line. They've been led by Fox News to believe and support the big money line. The tea party anger, which should be directed at, say, Big Banking, has been skillfully redirected against that worst of all evils, big government. In the abstract I can admire a well-planned campaign that has been well executed. In reality, it scares the poop out of me.

The Tea Party was ALWAYS solidly Republican and conservative. Thing is, they are a lot more extreme than the average Republican. They were much more willing to let the debt ceiling not be lifted, despite the insanity of that. They've shown an unwillingness to consider more moderate candidates in past primaries from what I saw of the 2010 election. I think it is quite possible they wouldn't support Romney.

Now, if he gets nominated, then they will very likely support him against Obama. Getting him nominated will be the tricky part.
